Bjork had this awesome habit of being logged onto IRC while he worked at a previous job (anime store). He would basically give us live updates of dirty old men walking through the store practically getting hard to all the hentai and whatnot. Not to mention all the other odd or funny customers doing whatever. Good times.

Have some unsolicited birthday advice
I bit my nails for 20+ years. I tried to stop a bunch of times, but wasn't able because I didn't even realize when I was biting my nails most of the time.
So do this.
Go to the store and buy several of these:
and a few packs of these:
Place one of each strategically in every place you spend time, computer, couch, work, car, etc. Plus a set in your backpack.
The clippers won't do much at first, so start using the emery boards. It will seem sort pointless at first. The goal is to smooth off the jagged edges of your nails. The common trigger for nail biting is these jagged edges. Plus it gives you something to do with your hands when you otherwise would bite. If you catch yourself biting, don't beat yourself up, just pick up an emery board and use that instead.
Pretty soon (~2 weeks) you'll have to use the clippers and it will be an amazing feeling. I shed tears, I shit you not. After that the habit was broken. I still chew the shit out of pens, but never my nails.
