It runs like 10 degrees celcius higher. If you've got intel's heatsink and fan and 2 case fans, your fine. A Northwood would be fine too.

The AMD FX-53 is an excellent processor, but that doesn't change the fact that it gets it's ass handed by a P4 3.2 E in video editing. At 1/4 the cost!

Why are you bringing up clock speed? A P4 3.2 E is still 1/4 the cost of the FX53.
