speaking of coolio, I popped in my soul recently and forgot how good a lot of his beat selection was. It's too bad he was such an awful rapper. Fantastic Voyage is still the jam though. And it always takes me by surprise listening to old WC and tha Maad circle albums and hearing coolio pop up, I always forget he was in that.

My first time actually hearing Madvillainy was probably like last year and I did it because I heard so much praise about the album so maybe my expectations weren't in check, so I, of course, got it and I really couldn't understand what 90% of the songs were about.

Like dude is clearly spitting with metaphors and shit, but what the hell is the entire song suppose to be about? It comes off as him just rapping about anything, I want to almost compare him to Wayne.

Each song to me felt like he was moving from subject to subject every 4 lines and I've went back to this album many times thinking that I must be crazy or something because I don't really like the album. I do like some songs off the album though.

Word, rap about what you know and who you are. Nothing pisses me off more than rappers who talk about a subject matter they know fuck all about and are just imitating their favorite rappers.
