ya'll ate it up when coms took shots on drake, but just as with that, i keep hearing "if kim shoots back, she'll just catch a L/look worse". how the fuck are we gonna talk about hip-hop not respecting its elders because it came from the streets & its mad competitive etc etc but you're supposed to call yourself the queen and be all hard on your last album talking about how you held shit down while junior mafia squealed like bitches, then what, stay silent while some goofy broad on top right now shits all over you in the worst diss track since piggy bank?

Well, I'm just saying what you are asking Kim to do is exactly what happened in 2010. Like every detail dude lol. Nicki Minaj released a single/song that becomes really popular that has shots that may or may not be directed towards Lil Kim, Lil Kim takes offense to it, then decides to release a diss track to show nicki she's still the queen, and in the end Nicki Minaj said she had no personal problems with Lil Kim. I'm sure Lil Kim pointed out that Nicki Minaj wouldn't make a straight diss record towards her as well. Yet the subliminal shots continue lol.
I mean if she can make a good diss track then yeah sure go for it, but I don't see why go for it at all.
I don't know about celebrating ghostface though, I just look at it for the laughs. I don't take it that serious.

Edit: I don't want to bring up kanye again haha, but that Dark Fantasy to me was a pretty good one.
Edit: OOHh, I really liked Cunnilyguists Piece of Strange intro and I dug that Shabazz Palaces Black Up, I actually first listened to it not to long ago but man I didn't know what I was getting into when I first heard this shit.

How do you guys feel about Saigon? He just released his new mixtape Warning Shots 3 and I gotta say I'm digging it. Always hated how he gets the shaft for being a "hardcore" rapper with a message and what not.

Blu needs to get his shit together. His records don't sell so he NEEDS to be LIVE at his shows 'cause that's your bread and butter as an artist, even when your LP's sell moderately and Blu can't even put up modest numbers. Eventually his reputation of putting on weak shows will bite him in the ass and promoters will stop booking him when the crowds thin out. I personally don't understand his behavior 'cause the way I see it dude is mad blessed to be able to get shows and make money performing when there are lots of artist just a good as he his who still have to slave at a 9-5 to make a living.
I feel like Be and The Corner are the best opening one-two punch...Be is perfect, and the way it flows into The Corner is smooth, then Common goes into super duper lyricist beast mode....soo good

Lupe is still hella more talented than most of these industry lames. I dont care that he's having trouble finding himself. I dont care if he spouts conspiracy theories and has a rock band on the side. I just dont care.
Ye has a fantastic personality, I'd love to meet Ye. If I hung out with Ye, he'd be all talking about ill Wu-Tang records the entire time, or some real music shit. If I met Lupe, I feel like he'd be telling me all about how grapes are ruining society, and how we must pester the agriculture industry to change their regulations for a better tomorrow.
The problem with Lupe is he said dumb shit for a year, and everyone was like LASERS will redeem him! And then Lasers dropped, and although I enjoyed it a tad more than others, it was not enough. So now he's officially certified psycho, at least with Ye so far I don't have an indication he's lost his mind as in a rapid downward spiral in his quality of music. He certainly hasn't SHOWN he's much more talented than the industry lames with the releases he's put out. Lupe, I'm not so sure, and with mediocre efforts (or lack thereof) like Friend of the People, I'm not sure what else we have to judge the kind of music we'll get at the end of the day from him, or anyone really, without judging where they're at in their lives right now. And I can only criticize and look down on the loss of someone who could've been a great.
If anything, I wish Kanye and Lupe switched spots right now. Kanye makes the best music when shit is going down in his life and he's inspired (College Dropout, 808s, MBDTF), and Lupe makes his best music when he's at the top of the world and not making desperate grabs for attention (F&L, The Cool).
