daily reminder that Be (Intro) is the best thing humankind has produced in the duration of it's existence
Wrong gif?
Sounds like a good combo to me.
See: "Lunch Money"not sure exactly what "produced entirely by Kanye West" means in 2017 but i'm in regardless
See: "Lunch Money"
Kanye is the only producer credit for that song and it's great.
too lazy to google, but who made the beat to king push?
edit:
nvm it was west.

Never too late to discover greatness brehsI don't think I've listened to Be outside the singles.
But so far it's 🔥

Yep, I know what you mean.I think it speaks for the album when all the songs somehow sound familiar. Movies, tv shows, commercials when I was a teen. Dunno why but all these beats outside the singles remind me of something. I do remember one of these songs on Chappelle Show tho.
It would probably sound something like Bound 2, hopefully he wouldn't ramble too much though.I hope Kanye does for Push what he did for Common.
Also, you ever think Kanye will ever pull a "4:44", am intimate album addressing his flaws going back to his older style of soul samples? That would be the perfect capstone to his career.

GAF-Hop's messiah is unstoppable
Agree 100%It's a good list, but I don't like the term "Art Rap" sucks for the same reason I don't fw "Conscious Rap". "Experimental" or "Abstract" would be more fitting and less elitist.
Look who the fucks mounting a comeback.
Lute - Juggin
Earthgang signed with Cole?Lute is signed to J Cole label? He really has been picking up some good artist lately especially with the recent Earthgang.
Also Uzi doing 135k is surprising kinda but not. Well deserved. His best tape
The ting go skrrrrraaaThis almost makes up for you diluting the "LYRICS + GIF" post style tbh
I'll never forgive you for that btw
It used to mean something
Crappier than the OG video.
Yep they did.Earthgang signed with Cole?
Yeah breh got some hilarious bars too.Man I've been coming back to this Ugly God a lot more than I thought I would. It really is a dope mixtape

Do the initiation in OP, breh+1
This post made me stop lurking
damn, now I can't stop listening to Be again
When those strings kick in on the Intro
Real rap, there aren't many pieces of media that emotionally grip me the way Be does. Particularly, but not limited to that Intro. That Common verse is just everything. Not one missed step or word. He's one with that beat. And it's inspirational without banging it's optimism or message of self-growth over your head. If I'm ever feeling shitty, lines like these change that real quick:
Waiting for the Lord to rise, I look into my daughter's eyes
And realize I'ma learn through her
The Messiah, might even return through her
If I'ma do it, I gotta change the world through her
Simple, elegant, effective. Common at his best, and arguably Ye too.
Do the initiation in OP, breh
I hate Common
That is all
Memories on corners with the fo's and the mo's
Walk to the store for the rose, talking straightforward to hoes
Got uncles that smoke, and some put blow up they nose
To cope with the lows, the wind is cold and it blows
In their socks and their soles, niggas holding they rolls
Corners leave souls opened and closed, hoping for mo'
With nowhere to go, niggas rolling in droves
They shoot the wrong way, cause they aint knowin' their goals
The streets aint safe cause they aint knowing the code
By the foes I was told, either focus or fold
Got cousins with flows, hope they open some doors
So we can cop clothes and roll in a Rolls
Now I roll in a Olds, with windows that dont roll
Down the roads where cars get broken and stole
These are the stories told by Stony and Cottage Grove
The world is cold, the block is hot as a stove

Corbin's album is out now.
Also, as a reminder, I'd like if people could list 10 hip-hop albums they think everyone should hear. The deeper the cuts, the better, and please post from every facet of hip-hop. I'd like to include in the O.P. as a handy guide if people want to find new things in rap.
Also, I'm kinda in another country right now, so don't be shocked if the new OT does go up at some odd hour at night or if there's a little delay between page 200 and the new OT going up.
