Happy birthday!!

I turn 31 on the 12th of this month but I still feel like a young buck! Powerlifting/crossfit 5 times a week and eating healthy has preserved my youth. Just take care of yourself and you won't feel old and tired.

Congrats!

Ah snap.

I personally love my 30s. People dreading being 30 are doing life wrong, you can now afford better things such as vacations and have established friends. The fucking best.

...I can?

You remember how long that stretch of time felt from when you turned 10 to when you turned 20?
And how the trek from 20 to 30 seemed to go twice as fast?
Strap yourself in. The journey from 30 to 40 is like you're strapped to a rocket.

Youth is bullshit. Non committal relationships, career instability, ignorance, debt, and having no perspective on anything.

Having more money, more comfort, more knowledge, more emotionally supportive relationships, and more appreciation for what you have should appeal to you, and is worth having to exercise to stay in shape.

I feel like that's not a thing that just stops when someone hits 30.

jeez is 30 really old to some people? i'm 19 and i feel like a child still

Society and life in general (hell even your body) affords you a lot more leeway in terms of mistakes and just fucking around when you're 20 than when you're 30.

Also, pray you don't have the balding gene.

Awesome!

I'll be 31 in a month and I still feel and look like I'm in my early 20's.

As long as you kept yourself in good health and what not there's basically no change from what I've noticed.

I look better now than I did at 20 or 21.

I made the same thread about 7 months ago. So far, I'm all good.

Well.. I quit all the drugs I enjoyed, got engaged, and I have a kid due in 4 weeks. Other than that, nothing's changed!

I've been 30 for a few months and it ain't bad at all. Just make sure you're on team "stay in shape and don't turn into a curmudgeon" and it's the prime of your life.

Turning 28 in March. Thanks for the heads up OP. I'll treasure my last two years of youth.

JK. Nothing wrong with getting older as long as you age gracefully. You've seen plenty of people older than you who are good looking, have their shit together, and are living life to the fullest. Be one of those people as you age as much as possible and enjoy life.

Look at it this way - I've been online since before you were born :þ

I wish I could re-do my life from that age on again =(

Gotcha. I got a couple of years still shit becomes real, rn i'm still discovering stuff so i'll take advantage of the "youth".

I honestly felt older at 25 then I do at 31. The reason is the people I work with. I work at a school and we have a bunch of coworkers are in their 50's and early 60's and they party harder than I do, go on ski trips, ride motorcycles, go jogging every morning. If they're capable of all this at twice my age I figure I have decades of adventure ahead of me.

I do have to say, that it looks like there is steep deterioration at around 60.

Ha, 30 was the year I stopped caring so much about my age. 16 to 29 I was fixated with my age in one way or another. Sure, certain absolute limits decline, but within those limits you can do a lot. I was pretty damn fit during my twenties, no I am trying to get even fitter now. But at 31 I am now more patient. I had bugger all patients up until about...29 haha.
