GAF Madden 2006 E3 Preview (Team ratings inside!)

I plan on running with the Colts. I like the simple fact that for my cone when Peyton is on the field, it's going to look like a halogen light illuminating the shit. I'm a Lion's fan, but I can't even be bothered with Detroit. Lord knows Joey's cone is going to be a straight line. Hell, might be a dotted straight line.

You DO realize that the Colts are a cursed team in the GAF Madden seasons right?
Whatever the case may be, I call them for season 2. As the GAF MADDEN NFL 2005 REIGNING CHAMP, I am positive I can break the curst and take them to the championsip.

1. the "vision cone" on upper levels is diminished. for instance, at e3 i am convinced we were playing on Rookie (not even PRO!) because i read a preview in gamepro or at maddenmania or SOMEWHERE saying peytons vision cone took up half the field. well, @ e3 it took up the WHOLE field
2. funny that there is always a lot of league and tournament excitement for the months leading up to a games release and the first few weeks it's out, but how much do you want to bet that the madden GAF league will consist of the same base players we had last year and not many more?

Keep in mind that their O-Line (In passing situations) and their receivers suck ass. It balances out Vick, Duckett, Dunn, and Crumpler. Be happy with your overrated 87 Defense!

fifty i think you are going to be surprised at how much the vision cone brings vick back to a normal level of play. he is still dangerous, but he will be nowhere near as effective in madden 2006 because A. you can't throw in the blink of an eye accurately (like in madden 2005, you could scramble with him, put the passing window back on and hit someone immediately, not so this year since the vision cone is randomly place, so you have to put the passing window back on, compose yourself, find the receiver and throw... the D can react a lot faster), and B. his passing window/accuracy sucked even on rookie/pro level @ e3!

If you want to play those stupid games, the Pats blew you out on your home field in the playoffs. Maybe you missed the superbowl but if not for a few BAD, uncharacteristic throws in scoring territory by Mcnabb we would have beaten the same team. Even with them we had a chance to win on the final drive only down 3. The fact that we were even in the game after 4 turnovers is a testament to how great our defense was. At the very least we put up a fight, the Steelers just folded.

Vick's vision cone looks brutal. Finneran isn't even in the cone and he's like right there in front of Vick.
As long as they fixed the scramble animation so that you don't stop when you pop the reciever icons back up. That killed me so many times. That and he would be forced into a drop step animation. I would be running to the right and I would pop the icons back up and he would take a huge gliding step backwards. If they haven't fixed that then I fear I might be screwed.
At least I still have the potential to lead the league in rushing. Bring on the Duckett and the Truck Stick.
