I like insane hot but I don't like tabasco, Frank's Red Hot, wasabi or that hot sauce with the rooster on it that is found in most Chinese food stores. I liked this hot sauce called Mike's Madness but they watered it down and now it sucks.

Anyway please to be recommending a (preferably habanero-based) hot sauce that you like and describe how it hits you?

It tastes like hot, delicious Mexico.

It's not all that hot, comparatively, but Chipotle Tabasco is pretty good...and a real difference from basic Tabasco. :D

there's a mexican place near my work that uses two habanero based salsas, red and green. you'll love them. i'll see if i could get you the brand later, i cant recall off hand.
they are insanely hot, just my style. they'll burn your lips. but damn do they taste good.

Ok guys, if you really like taptio. Try this chili i made with this stuff (really easy - takes 5 minutes max).

I just get a can off nalley chili

then add a lot of barbeque sauce, and a lot of tapatio

for the secret weapon add a slice of cheese, and once it melts mix that shit up.

SO GOOD. Only takes 6 minutes to make! come on guys, do it!

I doubt it's as hot as Dave's Insanity stuff, but it's got a very nice taste to go along with its ultra-powerful heat.

And that one is awesome.

OMFG my local hot sauce store has almost all the sauces you recommended save the colon one and the winston one. Crazy.

I think I'm going to have to try the Dave's Insanity and the Tapito tomorrow. They rate the hot sauces on a 1-10 scale.

Tapito is a 4. Dave's is a 10+.

That Mad Dog 357 is 10++. I'm scared of that shit. I don't want to die.

I remember on a field trip to the West Side Market here in Cleveland, I bought some of this stuff. I dared my friend to put a drop on his tongue. He did, and holy shit did he regret it. He started choking, eyes watering up, red face, the whole deal. 500,000 scovilles I think.

LOL my hot sauce store requires a signed waiver before you can purchase Pure Cap clearly stating it must be used as an ingredient and not taken directly.

Nah, that's probably just Mad Dog regular. That's only 357,000 scovilles, around 4x as hot as Daves. The collectors is 8x. Get the regular 357 and you'll be in heaven

My brother used to own a hot wings restaurant, and we used Blair's (or Blaire's, can't remember) hot sauce for the really hot stuff (Frank's Red Hot for the milder stuff). I tried "After Death" and drank like 4 glasses of milk (don't forget I'm semi-lactose intolerant) and ate like 5 pieces of bread.. didn't help much..

We also had Sudden Death, even hotter, and now I see on the website there's Mega Death which they rate 10+++. Hahaha, and this special one they rate 10++++ of which like 300 bottles were made.. it looks like over 14 million scoville..

I hate you, that was going to be my suggestion. Seriously, the best hot sauce ever made. It's the best mix of flavor and spice. In fact, I'm going to put some on the beans i'm eating now.

I use this as a condiment. My mouth starts to water just thinking about it... mmm.mmmm!

Pure cap rocks!

Anyway, I highly recommend the Jim Beam bourbon hot sauces. Not hot, but very tasty.

Had some salsa chicken with Dave's Insanity. Damn that's hot. The lady say 4 drops/large pot of chili so I put 4 drops with my small piece of chicken. OMFG its better than Claritin.
