I guess I'm a poser. I don't ski or mountain climb, but I do like the properties of gore-tex and I live in a in an area with cold winters and rainy springs but no snow. Unfortunatley, there are way too many fakes on eBay. Can someone recommend a cool looking Gore-Tex jacket. Priority on cool looking but Gore-Tex required. I've tried some of the other so-called waterproof breathables and they die out pretty quickly. $300-500 price range prz. Website or info links would be helpful.

XCR, down filled, 2 ply, 3 ply. Whatever if it looks cool I'll probably buy it.

Dude, if you don't actually ski why waste the money? Buy a nice $100 jacket from L.L. Bean, make sure its water proof and good to prolly about -15 and you're rollin'. L.L. Bean doesn't make shit and everything has a lifetime warranty.

I like waterproof, but if I sweat I'm getting wet anyways. Dunno, I guess having a semi-permeable membrane is cool to me and worth 3-5 bills. It seems LL has some good shit. I never even thought of them. I pretty much only though of Columbia and North Face, but that $250 jacket looks great. Who knew a fishing jacket would be perfect.
