GAF redirecting to lemode-mgz.com?

It's happening on my iPhone too. I don't think iOS devices can get spamware as they are closed devices. So that means this must be a problem on neogaf's side?

I'm being redirected to some beauty ad website (lemode-mgz.com) only on NeoGAF. Using Chrome on Win 7. Anyone else getting this?

Oh good, I'm not going crazy (I just posted a similar thread btw). And I'm on a Mac using Safari (and it's getting ot be that it loads every second. It just loaded twice so far from me typing this (one's a Doctor page and one's ellen something and it just did it for a third time!).

Haven't seen this happen to me at all and I've been on GAF all day.

When it happened to me last night, I was on my iphone but today nothing's happened on either my pc or on my iphone.

On the other hand, malwarebytes did stop something earlier today so it may have been a redirect.

So this just popped up the last time it happened

That's it, I'm rage quitting Gaf, this is happening every few seconds now. I can't even write a short reply without having to re write it because it loaded that page and lost my reply in the process (can't even go back to it). I'm surprised I got this far in this reply without it doing it to me yet (been copying and pasting every sentence just for when it does so I don't have to retype).

I wonder how I'll know it's fixed. This is just making Gaf unusable :( :( :(.

I haven't had this issue happen, but I do have something else that happens that I would like to know if it happens to anyone else. Whenever I click on a link that someone has posted I have a 50/50 chance of that link not really loading at all or taking forever to load. It doesn't matter what browser I try but I mostly use firefox. If I type the link out in full and use it that way it will work just fine. If I try to copy the link to share it with someone or whatever, it results in a really long annoying link that looks like this.

If you quote my post you can see how long that link is since gaf shortens it. Most of the time the links I copy start with the api.viglink.com thing. Even if the actual link is just to a youtube video or whatever.

This is happening to me on multiple threads now. Not immediately, I can view the thread for a few seconds, then suddenly off to a new page I'm sent.

Infact it even happened on this Reply to Thread page. Halfway through typing and it randomly redirected me to an article on http://lemode-mgz.com

Happening to me using IE11 on Windows 8.1

It's a link-based monetisation platform GAF uses by default. You can disable it.

I haven't experienced this on any of my devices and I've opted out of Viglink. Not sure if related.

Haven't had any issues here but I don't have Flash installed which is usually what a lot of malicious ads target for exploits.

We should take a number of what browsers people are on and which have the problem and which don't.

I am on a Mac and had it on Safari 8.0 (and it seemed to have slowed down on Safari but still there but it got so bad I rage quitted GAF).

I've been using Firefox for GAF now (33.1.1 Though it says it is downloading an update atm) and haven't had it happen once on Firefox.

And I am pretty sure I've had it happen on my iphone which was on Safari.

I'm surprised this has happened so much to all of you. It only happened to me once. What kind of antivirus/web security does everyone have?

Its apparently something wrong with google adverts, and not a user issue. Its happening to a huge amount of forums across the web from what I can see, lots of goodle results with people complaining about it in different places.

Odd, this hasn't happened to me at all today, though some of the banner ads are taking longer than usual to load (like the Lenovo one that popped up when I clicked to type this reply).

We can't quote quotes, so your link gets erased.

However, I have seen a number of api.viglink.com redirects for some weird reason.

I wonder if people don't notice that when they make a post.

I've the same issue on another forum I go to. Once I unblocked wan-tracker.com, it automatically triggered the redirect to lemode-mgz.com. I can't tell which ad is causing the redirect though.

Or it might of simply of been a coincidence *shrug*

*edit* both wan-tracker.com and lemode-mgz.com domains were created on Dec 14th and are protected by whois privacy.
