I think the slowdown is due to the team implementing a anti-bot system from cloudflare.
Though now it seems to be running well.

A lot of sites are running this anti-navigation anti browsing cloudflare.

Even if you click the back button fast, these types of things just think you're a bot and block you. Going worse than dialup how you have to navigate.

I browse via DuckDuckGo. I think it has a few ad-blocking properties from the get-go, but I've been using it for a couple of years now.
