So GAF I have a problem. I have a brother who lies, and manipulates his way through life. He graduated high school and went to Boston, telling ME he was struggling to find art work, so i was sending him money, I found out he was telling my dad he was in the "Boston symphony" but they didn't pay much so he'd borrow money from therm as well.

Well about a year ago that got busted when he moved back home. So he can't find a job supposedly, and wants to take time to "discover himself" (He's 30... do that while having a job), well my dad is getting fed up and asks me to get him a job at the bank ( I am in regional management at the bank i work in), so i call a friend who works in the call center, get him a interview for a job paying 16.40 an hour (in the mid west he could live in a decent apartment and have a car for that amount...)

I find out he tells the HR person "thats not acceptable. He needs at least 19,.

Meanwhile he's telling my dad he's waiting to hear back from them. Stalling.

Being the oldest, i've gotten in his ass several times about manning up, he's lived with me, my sister, given money to them.

So now im fed up. Im considering telling my dad and getting him kicked out. What should i do cooler heads of GAF?

16.40 is insane for his first(?) job. dude has balls to counter that.
He doesnt want to work. Thats what i think is the truth.

The call center there is paying people 16 an hour, its why i suggested it and got him the interview. To make him self sufficient.

Ask me about the moon landing or the temperature at which jet fuel burns. You may be surprised at what you learn.
Cut him out of your life. There's very little chance of him changing his ways at that age.

How is your dad's health? How is his heart? Is he going to be able to take bombshells like this?

Such a tough scenario, me and my brother are hardly close but I would take a bullet for him / go to jail for h because that's my blood.

Your brother is lazy and your family just enable him by giving him money without making him work for it.

Furthermore I don't believe that kicking him out is the answer nor will it make him change his habit.

We can't choose family alright. Sounds like he's lived a life of "getting by" on others dime. Hit him with the realness. But you should also be ready for him to make up something about how the interviewer/HR is lying or made a mistake. He's gonna try to ride this gravy train until he's 40.
