this is a random question, but I was just randomly thinking about it.

The girls would still be bangable. Japan has the most beautiful women in my opinion. I hate anime to high hell- but god I love the girls and the endless drinking pubs. And those dick cans.beelzebozo said:

Japan has its own culture that suits most fine. Most Japanese that hate it here/hate Japanese programming can speak English well enough to understand English programming without subtitles.
The audience that would be able to do something technically difficult like making subtitles for films wouldn't really be the type of person drawn to English language programming.
I did some conversation teaching to Japanese folks, and I always wished there were episodes of the Simpsons with some kind of special Japanese subs and some kind of guide to pop culture/political references and slang in the show. I think it would have been a great primer for some of the engrained eccentricities of North American culture, it would have been really helpful I think. Just messing with ideas here...

Yeah, it's been a couple weeks, thought I'd bump the thread up and unload my first 3 weeks of Japanese learnery.
I'm seeing a girl who has come here (NYC) from a suburb outside Tokyo. The second Japanese person I've ever met! To actually use the language, make it real, is such a fulfilling experience and really tests whether I truly do appreciate it for what it is. I'm still studying 2-5 hours a day, and according to her I know quite a bit from only three weeks. So it's going somewhere, I'm having as much fun as I always hoped I would.
Now I have a culture question - the "sexually repressed" thing. I've heard from people all over the world that it's really easy to have sex in Japan. What's the deal?
Also, shonen seems less entertaining now for some reason.

They need to make some kind of entertaining wiki for the Simpsons for Japanese audiences, I bet it could be pretty cool. I know whenever I learn a new culture fact that retroactively explains a confusing situation I saw in a program I get a nice little "Aha!" moment, so stuff like that is really useful.
