I wasn't aware lengthly explanations were necessary? Most of the selections seem self explanatory, and when people questioned some I've given answers or made changes. Truthfully, I'd prefer the discussion shifted towards the topic itself rather than the idea of the topic.... maybe I should've gone into greater detail upfront. But really, do you think that would've changed much in the thread?

Perhaps if you had given any sort of reason or justification for most of the characters listed, we wouldn't be talking about heated sandwich products at the moment.
 
Yes. I loathe lists. They are the lowest form of discussion.

I still say it would have been better to make a few choices, post a brief explanation, and let others fill in.

And as others have mentioned, this topic has been derailed in several directions. (One by me, admittedly. :lol )

Speaking of bars, I went searching for these yesterday, but they weren't carried by the one (of two) international store I visited. I might have to import one or find an online shop in the States that has them. Does anybody have first-hand experience?

I'll put in my support for breakfast Hot Pockets. They may taste like death, but it's a mostly palatable death.

Frosted Shredded Wheat is better, saves me an all important 20 seconds of not having to piss around with sugar :)

It must when you make statements that are generally unaccepted... like that regular Cap'n Crunch is better than Peanut Butter Cap'n Crunch.


... and putting sugar on Shredded Wheat completely defeats the point of eating Shredded Wheat!
 
I love hot pockets, but I can't stand frozen egg in anything. Cream Cheese or Apple toaster strudels are the greatest of all quick, flaky breakfast foods. Pop Tarts are a close second.

First things first: PIZZA HOT POCKETS 4 LIFE!

So, after MGS3 hit I tried every flavor of CalorieMate available (actually, Konami gave one of each flavor out as a gift to folks who attended the "Premium Preview" event, so I didn't even have to buy 'em.) Here's my ranking w/ comments.

#1 Choco - This is pretty good. Kinda dry and chalky, but all the CalorieMates are. All those vitamins. This one tastes kinda like an Oreo cookie (without the filling, of course), and a bit more aerated ... or perhaps like astronaut ice cream, only with more substance.

#2 Fruits - Dark horse candidate returns with a strong #2 showing. Tastes a bit like lemoncake or fruitcake, with a bit of zesty citrus rime to boot. Strong but pretty good, almost as good as choco.

#3 Cheese - Not so hot. Imagine you mixed the "cheez" and crackers of HandiSnack together, then let the whole thing go stale. No creamy cheezy goodness, just a hit of aftertaste on a stale cracker.

#4 Vegetable - Fucking evil incarnate. This tastes like rotting onions. 100% vomitorious.

If I were assigning letter grades...

Choco: B+
Fruits: B
Cheese: C
Vegetable: F

It's been a while, but in Goemon N64 (the only one I've played), I seem to remember Ebisumaru stripping in front of a male shopkeeper in order to get a discount at a merchant, and some other gay-themed innuendo in the dialogue that went past the boundary of "male friendship."

Mmmm, he might be bi curious but I'm pretty sure he's more into chicks. He says some pretty horny things about them in most of the games, and I think he's a little into Yae as the leader of the ninja squad.

Well, choco CalorieMate has that same sort of chocolate crispy flakiness to it as Astronaut ice cream, the way it just crunches and is chalky but in your mouth gets that chocolate flavor ... it's a bit more "substantial" and cookie wafery than freeze-dried stuff is, but definitely there are similarities.
 
Wow - what an amazingly hateful thread title.

Jarrod, we'll see you roughly around the time the PSP launches in North America.
