Gamers Nexus | NVIDIA: WTF?

I love Steve and his analysis and reviews, but I can't help but feel he is getting wayyyy too much into activist territory and will start to affect his reviews/judgement.

I don't want talentless genZers to control the future of this industry and we must stop spoiling them with your personality matters and your skills aren't needed and all this nonsense cause skills are called skills for a reason.

Also, a likely timeline of the race, written by a broad range of AI experts in the field.

at worst 2027 is the speedrun of AGI, at best its delayed ? years from now. But the scenario and power play between USA and China is indeed blatant to see.

Video that took the paper's predictions to a more entertainment form

Thanks, came into post this. humanity was a fun(?) experiment I guess

Gamer Nexus has become a drama channel that uses fear to gain views. I understand the journalistic model, but it's getting a bit repetitive.
Nvidia is the perfect company to attack, even if the others are following the same model. You won't see a "WTF AMD?" from them.

He's doing well researched and sourced long format videos and probably one of the only ones consistently calling out the bullshit. Yeah it's drama, but it's also the kind of journalism long absent from the industry.

It is write on ALL walls they will leave gpu market and New gpus tech only behind geforce now.

I think AMD Will follow them and Pc game will be apu only.

I think we not gonna see new gpus from both Max 5 years and they will discontinue New drivers for local gpus too.

I really believe series 5000 can be the last from NVIDIA for consumers.

It's frustrating to see how any investment i've ever made purchasing gaming hardware ultimately contributed to a system that deprives me of my privacy and ownership rights, dignity even.

They all decieve us with a power struggle between left and right, when in reality it was always about top and bottom.

Fuck them.

AMD could, just once in the last 20 years, stop chasing Nvidia, take the momentum and explore the market that is being left aside.
Why the fuck would AMD chase the gaming market, which has resoundingly rejected all of their offerings since 2010 even when they've been resoundingly better value, when they could make a fuck load more money in enterprise applications? Explore the market with razor thin margins? Why bother when they can sell soap to the bubble blowers.

Its not like gamers ever gave a shit about AMD, so why should they give a shit about gamers?

And more to the point, what makes you think AMD would ever be able to secure the wafer capacity to supply all of client CPU and GPU, as well as datacenter CPU and GPU? The short answer, compared to Apple, Nvidia and so on, is no.

Actually, now that I've watched all of this it's mildly terrifying.

Indeed

Doesn't matter if the dates are very optimistic, even with a 10 year delay due to unknown factors, it's fucked up, and all companies / governments have the foot all the way down on the pedal to make it happen.

AI is not just for studio ghibli filters, it's an arm race… to our most likely doom if you ask me.

It's this arm race that also tells me that what peoples call a bubble will not pop like expectations normally would. This is project Manhattan + moon space race level of national security and probably even more cash injected than either programs even to today's inflations.
