Games that acknowledge the mistakes of their predecessors

David Vonderhaar at Treyarch has been excellent at correcting design and balancing mistakes from one Call of Duty to the next. He admits he makes mistakes and he corrects them. Better than some other devs who never admit they ever make a mistake, and thus never correct those mistakes in the future.

I actually really enjoy Treyarch's Call of Duty games. Each one is reasonably different from the last, and they usually make pretty major changes and improvements. I look forward to their games and just completely ignore anything with Infinity Ward's name attached these days.

I seem to remember in Blazblue Continuum Shift during one of the Kokonoe segments that they acknowledge that in Calamity Trigger you had to lose all the fights to get 100% story completion.

First thing that came to mind

F2/4 "spoony" bard comment kinda made fun of tongue in cheek in FFT

Sorry if I'm being a kind of a condescending hardass here, I'm not trying to do that. I almost made the mistake myself, lol. The dude just asked me to quote posts that do this, so I did, and it caused me to start reiterating the same point over and over again which I don't want to do. It just sort of bothers me when people don't follow the OP.

Thanks for pointing them out. Like I said, the point was to give those who missed the purpose of the post a chance to cite examples. After all, we haven't played everything and could easily miss such hilarious references. Sorry if it caused others to think you're being mean or something. It definitely wasn't the intention. :-)
