Honestly how do you make the pre-show much better than the main show. How is this possible?

I imagine it was much cheaper to get a trailer in there so it had some actual good games from smaller devs / publishers instead of the gigantic AAA corporate slop. Also had a charismatic / funny host instead of Geoff and whatever somewhat attractive girl he drags out for a particular show.

Bro the industry tries SO painfully hard to be Cinematic and hates being video games yet the voice acting is eternally stuck at fucking D-Grade Gay Porn levels.

There is nothing wrong with being cinematic if that is your focus. The thing I hate is that a lot of these games shown are not cinematic in the least but waste time with these cinematic CG trailers when you know the game barely has a story or one worth a damn.

Most of these trailers seem made before the game is well into development, so they scramble a story and concept. It feels hollow because it is.

It is made more jarring after the Kirby Air Riders Direct which was all gameplay.

Im working with this Xbox stream on in the background and it just feels like Xbox is doing what would be the "E3" show days streams you used to get. Like that is literally what they are doing, this transition to completely third party is interesting to watch.
