The cyclone 2 pro, x5s and G8/+ telescopic controllers are basically all I use anymore. 8bitdo suckkk in comparison
 
Looks a bit silly, but given how well that dude is going around those corners with it...I would give it a try myself.

Don't really care about full on sims though, but in Forza Horizon, Grid Legends or Wreckfest this could maybe be fun without getting a full racing wheel setup.

There was a crowdfunded one a year or 2 ago. Got funded and if I recall, ripped everyone off.

There's been talks and prototypes of a couple others but nothing came about.

Just when I thought I had all the controllers I needed - 1 8bitdo ultimate2, 18bitdo ultimate, 2 8bitdo 2Cs, 1 Dualsense, 1 wheel-pedal-shifter, 1 HOTAS, 1 8bitdo genesis style controller, 1 stick drifting series controller - they come up with something new for me to waste my money on.
 
That's cool. I don't play quite enough racing sims (changing very soon) that I would drop money on this particular controller, but it's a neat enough concept that I want to keep an eye on.

Sort of related: This Logitech G29 Driving Force Racing Wheel + Pedals is going for $199 at Amazon. I've been waiting for another big price drop on this, and I finally got one.
EDIT: This deal ends in less than 19 hours.

Great idea! I might consider trying it if it's cheap. I wonder if there has ever been a racing game that used two sticks in combination. What it basically does is pushing the left analog stick up while pulling the right analog stick down at the same time (or vice versa). Usually we steer by simply pushing a single analog stick left or right. Force feedback would of course make this controller much more effective, but with this kind of combined moveset, playing with the sticks could be enjoyable.
 
So okay, thumbs on the wheel, index fingers on the triggers.

That's gonna be awkward as hell with Manual shifting then. Is it normal rumble or the kind of haptic feedback found in SW and PS5 controllers?

Yeah, But that moves your middle fingers for gas and brake duty, making the dual thumbs on the wheel more cramping. I have my controller in front of me and I'm testing it out.

Maybe it won't be a big deal if I actually use it. But as I'm trying to feel it out on my actual controller, it feels odd.

I guess you could use the left thumbstick for gear shifting though. Still awkward, but maybe less cramping.

Could have some little paddle shifters or have a couple back buttons around where your pinky rests.
