GameSpot- WWE WrestleMania 21 (XBOX) Developer Interview

I've been following the coverage so far, and frankly..

I'm impressed. It's animated like a dream, good character models and a decent match pace. Rosters kinda eh.. but what are you going to do?

I just HOPE it plays as good as it looks and the online mode is all it's cracked up to be.

Just imagine starting your own online federation and stat tracking within it to determine title contenders. I think my friend is buying an Xbox for this and Mercenaries.. I hope he's not disappointed.

Mainly he's just tired of the PS2 versions looking like ass compared to the Xbox version.

Is there a full roster yet? The belts could work really well online.. hopefully you have to do some really hard single player stuff before you can make one, because everyone having their own belt would be stupid.

I might just have to pick this up for the online shit. I havent bought a Wrestling game since importing DC Fire Pro.

I really hope the CAW mode is deep. It probably won't be though seeing as how this is their first crack at a wrestling game.

For the good of all humanity, please seek out King of Collosseum 2.

Zombie, realistically... anywhere from a week to a month.

It can be a pain.

I'm looking into geting KOC2, due to the game play and the Fire Pro sized roster of talent. Couple that with the sample figures they give you to make about 150 people who aren't in the game, create them to perfection.

I need to get a Swap Magic and Slide card first... and then get my copy of KOC 2.

I'm looking at getting KOC2 as well...are the Swap Magic and Slide Card the things that will let me play imported games?

while we are on the subject of KOC2 does anyone know how long it takes "economy air bubble" shipping to come from hong kong?

I got RE4 in an economy box from Play-Asia and it took only a few days - dispatched on the Thursday, arrived the following Tuesday. Of course, that's to the UK. Getting through the US postal system could take longer, though I don't see it being hugely so....

I wanted this but I don't want to open up my system. Slide card damn that probably alters your machine.

Yeah, I'd advise against using a slide card. Eventually, the motor on your tray will give out.

Personally, if I was looking for low-cost options, I'd go with the fliptop. Once it's installed, there's really no worries regarding the health of your system.

Or, perhaps a better solution would be to seek out a copy of HDLoader and then install KOC2 on the HD from your PC first. This will eliminate the admittedly painful load times and wouldn't damage your system at all.

I bought an import PS2 though so this really isn't something I've needed to worry about.

Mino my cd tray is pretty well messed anyway from years of use. Using a slide card would almost be a neccessity at this point.

Besides, if you are careful, there's no damage (at least that I know of). I think in my case a slide card would be a temporary solution until I get a flip top and install it.

Basically the version of KOC 2 I'm getting is less than legal, and I just want to make sure it's going to work before I put down some change on modifying my system.

I know this going to sound VERY odd.. but I've seen some screen shots of the mat being stained with blood. Is this something that happens during the match (after your charater bleeds, if he does at all) or is it preexisting? If so... a closer version of reality and sold!

Are you referring to KOC2 here? Ifso, I think you might be mistaken. The only blood that exists in KOC2 is a standard texture that spontanenously appears on a wrestler's head after a particularly hard-hitting strike. I say spontaneously because, depending on the camera angle, you can see it magically appear. It is accompanied each time by a blood-curdling scream from a female audience member though if it makes you feel any better...

There is one unlockable mat that's stained with what looks like mud so you may be thinking of that however...

That seems like the best solution.

If I get an import...I wonder if I can get an import GT4 with it, and then network it with my North American PS2 with it's NA GT4...

A GAF fed will have to be established if this game is turns out well. I'll probably start fueds with all the EA fanboys. :lol

I thought we all agreed that "this game was not cool" and that "we spit in the face of games that are not cool" in another thread

No Carlito = No Sale

Game With Jazz, Garrision Cade = No Sale

Me With No Xbox Live = No Sale

I had such high hopes for this game to :(

Perhaps you made such a pact with your dick, but those who think for themselves (like I) will wait for the game to come out before deciding if it's worth a shit.

I hereby step up as the first ever GAF Cruiserweight Champion. All will fall before the Canadian Assassin, Eddie Vee!
