Gamestop Refurbished Iphones Legit?

For all you people that ate off that Gamestop extra trade in credit during the summer and got iPhones or whatever do they work fine? Hows the physical condition and function of the phones in general? I just called my local store and they said they don't have a extended warranty on their phones other than the 30 days that comes on all refurbished products.

Also I have a t-mobile sim (5GBS a month for $30 plan) can I just insert that sim into the refurbished phone? I am planning on getting an iPhone 7, does it matter if its AT&T or Verizon? Also I currently have an Android how easy it to switch ? (Numbers, contacts etc...)

No.

I ordered three with my GameStop credit. One had a bad ESN and wouldn’t activate on any network, one still hadn’t been paid off, and the third came up clean but wouldn’t activate on Verizon due to being “reported stolen.”

One of the phones even had a huge yellow splotch on the screen. Avoid buying phones from them.

Just go find a phone on Swappa or the NeoGAF Buy/Sell/Trade thread. GameStop tends to charge way more than market value for their refurbished iPhones.

Not sure what the legal definition of refurbished is, but I think they pretty much just turn them on and wipe them down (if that)

The tablets at my local Gamestop are behind glass, but still have very visibile finger prints and people grease on them. I wouldn't buy one, especially not for what they're asking.

Woww good to know, I'll check the store just in case to see how they look in person, but its lookin like a no for me I guess

They still do this? I've noticed over the last year or so more and more Gamestops have stopped carrying phones and tablets. Don't think any around here do anymore.
