GameTrailers GOTY 2015

Only MGSV is a GOTY contender from that list imo.

1. Majora's Mask 3D
2. Metal Gear Solid 5
3. Tearaway Unfolded
4. Xenoblade Chronicles X
5. Splatoon

honorable mention: Mario Maker

I'll never understand a Top 5 (as opposed to a Top 10 or more) when you're covering multiple platforms, especially in this day and age. Heck, give us a Top 10 Retail and Top 10 Downloadable GotY list, please.

Good list, and congrats to BB for the win, but yeah... bigger lists please.

I am surprised at the Starcraft 2 stans over at GT. Not that I mind, just not something being seen in a lot of general GOTY lists.

I blame neogaf for forcing GT to give bloodborne a GOTY

Bloodborne is objectively the best game of the year. You might like another game more and that's fine, but no game achieved its ambitions with such a level of simultaneous reckless ambition and graceful poise.

^out of the games I played anyways, which includes all frequent noms aside from starcraft and undertale

Terrible list. My favourite game didn't win. They're clearly biased
/s. It's kinda funny these sorts of comments seem to pop up less in threads where Bloodborne or Witcher wins though.

They all are huge from software fanboys, i can´t blame them lol

I prefer mgs 5 but i liked bloodborne too.

lol ok, so none of the rest of those games are worth the GOTY?

Bloodborne is GOTY, I haven't enjoyed any game as much as that all year.

No, Bloodborne is a decent game, but I found the hideous Victorian aesthetic off putting and the game didn't bring much new to the table compared to previous Souls games, despite what the Souls stans think. It's better than Witcher 3 at least (that game is the definition of mediocre and overrated).

The 5 games I mentioned (which includes MGSV) all do what they set out to do better than Bloodborne and Witcher 3. MGSV also had better review if you want to bring Metacritic into the mix.

hatoful boyfriend is a better game than bloodborne

I like how they were so split down the middle on Witcher 3 vs. Bloodborne. They are polar opposites and each completely deserve the accolade.

The question now becomes - how long until people start spamming Dark Souls 3 was robbed?

There were times playing MGSV when I thought it was my game of the year, but too many missing aspects to that game. Probably the singular game that is both so amazing and yet so disappointing.

Haven't tried that one so you could be right for all I know :P

I love the asthetic, cosmic horror and more agressive gameplay, but to each his own.

TPP is great mechanically, but unfocused as well and Konami forced a lot of crap on that game. BB's narrative is way better as well.

We agree on TW though.

Your number 1 didn't have much new stuff either, so I don't know why you brought that complaint up to begin with. Your opinion is... interesting to say the least.

So MGSV set out to tell a shit story about bland or terrible characters?
