GameTrailers GOTY 2015

I'd probably lean towards W3 over BB. From dropped the ball with the pvp mechanics they already had mostly fixed in DSII, and BB was overall a much more limited experience. The dungeons were also a great idea executed terribly.

W3 on the other hand was a big improvement over its predecessors. I'd say the combat was the only mediocre part about the game, and perhaps the main villains were underdeveloped too.

So did the Blizz Beauty Boys (Benkle,Brad,Huber)just team up to get StarCraft a nomination just because its a Blizzard game?
Only heard Matt and Huber speak about this game over the last year and suddenly its one of the final 5 best games of the year?

Excellent choice. I hope we do not start seeing a #witcher robbed posts :) I think I saw it coming with most GT editors being open about their love for the game.

True. I expect it to be great with Miyazaki at the helm though. I'd be suprised if anything other than Uncharted 4 won media GOTY.

Next year so damn stacked right now that I could see it being one of those years where no game really pulls away from the pack as far as GotY wins go. That usually only happens on slower years like last year or 2012. 2010 was the last time we saw a year that was stacked and there was still a tight race.

Not a popular opinion I know, but I stand by it. B-)

That said, Witcher 3 should have won best RPG.
It's not a popular opinion because it doesn;t make any sense at all
People really gotta stop misusing the word "objective".It makes the board look embarassing. most of the time I see it it just seems like a lame " I am objectively right you are wrong but I am too lazy to explain why"
I know sometimes people are obviously kidding (I didn't take erpg seriously), but a lot of times people seem completely serious

Facilitated by that easy alliance now that the Dying Light hatchet is buried and backdoor FVII stream shady deals. I feel like it was probably as much a 'lifetime achievement'/'franchise culmination' nomination as anything, though. Reminds me of McConaughey getting robbed of the Emmy by Walter White in the final season of Breaking Bad.

Matthew McConaughey = Mario Maker

I felt like I was forced to pick up Bloodborne. PS4 library was kinda boring to me and it just seemed like one of my few options.

It ended up being really fun and memorable. My pick for GOTY as well.

Gametrailers gets it. They are the only outlet I have seen so far that has StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void in the running. That game is RTS perfection and one of the best competitive games of all time. Yet no one else is talking about it.

I am surprised at the Starcraft 2 stans over at GT. Not that I mind, just not something being seen in a lot of general GOTY lists.

Which is insane and shows that the majority of people at most gaming outlets haven't played it.

Bloodborne is objectively the best game of the year. You might like another game more and that's fine, but no game achieved its ambitions with such a level of simultaneous reckless ambition and graceful poise.

Pack it up boys, objectivity has spoken.

It bums me out that GT seems to reflect a lot of the older "hardcore" gaming audience today but not nearly the views of some of the worse youtube celebrities . Generally laid back, excited about the things that are coming (but not screaming about it), frustrated (not really mad though) with the things that are wrong in the industry, and willing to give some smaller games a shot, because they want to play them, not to get the "OH LOOK HOW DUMB AND WEIRD THIS GAME IS" views.

I'm seeing that bloodborne is picking up more GOTY's after the sifting period.

I thought this too but since I last looked last week (when it was above MGS5) it has actually lost ground.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - 124

Fallout 4 - 29

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain - 18

Bloodborne - 15

Bloodborne got rob--

Monster Hunter 4 Utlimate got robbed.

Edit: Good choice by GT. BB winning overall and MH4U winning handheld makes me quite happy.

Who does the narration for these videos? I just started listening to GT Time (which is awesome) but I don't really know the people yet.

How is this possible? ;;

Bloodborne fans are more obnoxious when it loses

Pot calling the kettle black.

Should of been Witcher 3, but Bloodborne is pretty good

Must be a bloodborne fan, they're usually salty

Should be Witcher 3, but Bloodborne is alright

Bloodborne is alright, but TW3 is GOAT.

Witcher 3 should be #1. Bloodborne is a great game, just not goty worthy. It's their list and opinion though

Lol @ the salt. Bloodborne was fantastic, but W3 is still the better game, well deserved!

Happy to see Gametrailers get it right. The more I play Bloodborne the more I think it's the GOTY this year, even though this was an excellent year overall.

Either that was the most intense Rock, Paper, Scissors game between Bloodworth & Ian Hinck or Hinck hid Bloodworth's body in his basement during voting. I'm going with the latter.
