This is definitely a technically impressive next gen game. But artistically it looks fucking terrible, even for Rare (IMO). Does it remind anyone else of Sudeki?

I think it doesn't look too good. Well, there are bad ground textures and the grass looks weird, because it has got a stupid structure. Also the leafs seem to be bad made.

Yes, whenver there are human/fairy characters on the screen. That's when I like it least. I think that's why I like those last two shots the best, the colors are garish but it's really fantastical. I dislike Sudeki, I don't have total faith in Rare but I don't think this will be that bad.

Probably will end up being solid 30fps. These kind of games rarely (har!) go at 60.

Whoever's saying this doesn't look impressive is an idiot. This REALLY looks next-gen in my eyes. There's just detail everywhere you look.
 
Man if Rayman ever returned to next gen....or Gex....Klonoa?!?! Mario, Spyro or Crash?!?!?!? My god 3D platformers are about to take off!

Xbots don't seem to notice bad textures in Xbox only games. Well, in Zelda TW they noticed them (ok, you had to see them).

It really is subpar. Devoid of cleverness or subtlety. That's probably the story of his life, but they really need to start holding classes or something.

Regardless, screw the screenies. I want to know what the game is like before I even consider getting it.

Now, Drinky, he's top notch. His PSP harassing/missionary-work never ceases to crack me up. All aspiring jerkwads would do well to learn from the master.

You might not like the art or whatever, that's subjective, but saying it doesn't look graphically impressive (note : this is not directed at specifically you so don't start posting 'I never said that') is dumb.
 
What a strange mixture of crap and brilliance.

I really hope Rare can sort out the crap in time for launch. If not, I hope MS make it a Christmas release instead so they can spend an extra month just polishing up bits (graphically, if the gameplay isn't ready after this long then it'll never be).
 
Hope the animation has improved. This looks like something I could play with the kids, or at the least a rental.

We have 2 wait for final versions and reviews.

But the game really improved like 2 times over the last few months.
