I missed the tumblr talk. Do gaygaffers have a (SFW) tumblr? I have one for my watercolors/animu and sometimes personal (not often at all).

I'll show you mine if you show me yours! Oh, what the hell, here it is!

http://ietes.tumblr.com

i just got one a couple weeks ago so i haven't used it for much, or decided what i want to use it for....but mine is rattlesteak.tumblr.com.

on topic: i sent a message to a really cute guy on a gay app on my phone a couple weeks ago. i assumed he wouldn't reply and hadn't gone back into the app to check (it never seems to pop up notifications on my phone). last night, i went into it and he had replied quickly and seemed interested. agh i'm so dumb lol. i'm going to try talking to him today/tomorrow because he seems sooo cuuuuuuuuuuuute.

Thanks for the follow!

Aaah! I just love it when things bloom! Hope it turns out well! I remember when I started contacting my partner. Boy, wasn't I impulsive, but it paid off!

So, all y'alls in relationships, who's the chefy one?! Or do you both cook together?
I am a great believer in providing breakfast in bed

It's a 60/40 split with him doing more of the cooking, but with me doing the more involved cooking. We almost never cook together because we run our kitchen like a concentration camp and there would be yelling.

It's best for everyone if we stay our of each other's way while cooking. ;)

Aww...to both. :p
But, agree with what has been said. Play it cool, and at work just talk to him like normally; nothing that shows desperation or clinginess. And if he asks you about how was your day, talk about how nice was the day with your friend playing Taiko, etc. ;)

Listen to this wise man. I find clingy behavior early on to be a HUGE turn off and I'm sure I'm not alone. After the relationship progresses, then I'm a huge PDA guy and turn into crazy romantic guy #24! :)

Sofonda Cox? :P
lol! Hadn't heard that one before. (I'm so sheltered)

Some of my fave double entendres are the Bond girls:

Holly Goodhead
Pussy Galore (awesome!)
Xenia Onatopp (really reaching there)
Plenty O'Toole

So brazen, I don't know how they managed to use those with a straight face! =D

What about when he came home to sleep? He couldn't send a 5 second text ? Tread lightly my friend.

yeah, did he have plans to contact you scott? sounds like a flakey guy. i know that he couldn't have his phone during work but i would take this a sign of possible things to come.

Not sure if serious...

He just went a day without contacting him, dont be so clingy

i wasn't keeping up with the situation. it seemed like the guy had plans with scott for yesterday and blew him off without saying anything until today? i would consider that pretty flakey. have i misunderstood the situation?

I wasnt aware of that, this novela is moving too fast.

This type of reaction is essentially implying that no one under the age of 18 can post their picture in the 'pics of yourself' thread.

Except in the context of that post Delio was sexualizing someone who did not look 18.

Even when I said he was 18? It seems to have everything to do with not liking twinks.

Honestly I get pedo vibes from it. There are twinks, and then there's.... that.

Like people who read Lolicon manga with girls who are ostensibly 18, but look 8 years old and are getting rammed by huge cocks. You can say they are 18, but people are still going to be uncomfortable with it.

I have no idea how many minors there are or aren't on GAF, but his was an almost comical overreaction. It wasn't a picture of a kid in his underwear bent provocatively over the hood of a car, it was a face with no sexualized context whatsoever.

Right, it was just posted in response to the statement that men with facial hair are hot. No sexualized context whatsoever.... sure.

It's alright guys we won't be able to hang on the weekends because he is working double shifts, but during the week after he gets off on Tuesdays and Thursdays we should be able to.

Somehow whoever I date, I end up being the cook. Everyone seems to like what food I make, but it's basically just following a basic recipe and then adding whatever I think will taste good. It's not like I was the first person to invent the meatball.

Cooking is okay, but I have much more fun making baked goods like cakes and pies. ^___^

Cooking is relatively easy but a lot of people seem to be confused by what the food looks like when it's not cooked. I wish I was exaggerating. And don't even ask them to follow a recipe. I mean, seriously?

Haha, yeah it can be funny cooking for someone the first time. Some people act like it's a miracle that food has made its way to the table. "You have made this you say? With your hands? Are you Chef Jesus? There is no possible way this food was created by anything other than magic." :P

I think it's because so many I is young people don't cook so that's why we are amazed. I'm sure I could cook if I tried I just need to find a good recipe book and do it.

At least my guys schedule is set on Tuesday and Thursday so there shouldn't be a problem with us hanging out those nights :) I told him I've been hurting and he said he would give me a massage and was like (but you have to be naked hehe)

You don't even need a recipe book. Internet is filled with recipes for everything you could possibly want to cook. Just look something up and give it a go. :)

Also play it cool with your guy, sometimes people are just busy or want some time to themselves. I haven't been following all this super close or anything, but don't you also work with him? Don't monopolize his entire schedule. Just think how good it's gonna be next time you guys get together. Makes all the waiting worth it. :)

Touching raw meat is a mental block I can't get over.

I can handle raw meat, if it's been prepared already but it's when the meat is essentially still a dead animal that I get queasy.

Butchers in my town often have pheasants and the such strung up outside, eugh.

Having said that, I did once slap someone with a dead (store bought!) fish. The resulting slime and smell on my hands was worth it XD

No I'm not trying to monopolize his schedule, but he's the one that told me today we can be together those nights. Also I know it will be worth the wait. I still wonder when we will fuck, I need to be ready for it though. ~.~

Like MWF I work all day here, and on TThSa only a couple of hours. And he works here MWF only a couple of hours and then goes to his other job from 3-10+ and he works all day on Tuesday and Thursday here. Then he works double shifts on the weekends at his other job. I feel sorry for him but also understand that he does need money after all.

We were both getting frustrated at work because it was busy, we wanted to sneak off and make out in the bathroom which we managed to do after it finally died down :)

Meat I can handle; but I have a thing about cracking eggs. I have to wash my hands every time I crack one. I can't stand the feel of raw egg on my hands, even a little bit. ~____~

Sometimes I try to crack them really fast so I can just get it over with if I have to crack multiple eggs. Or try cracking two or three at once.

Doesn't stop me from cooking, but I dread the egg part of recipes.

I don't know how to cook :(

I've been practicing, but still not confident enough to ask someone to taste what I cook :P

To keep this post on topic: I need someone that knows how to cook (and let me play videogames)

My favorite way to cook is grilling. Making a batch of spicy Korean marinade and letting boneless chicken thighs sit in them for two days before BBQing them, then serving them alongside some Jasmine rice and a side of homemade cucumber kimchi is culinary heaven. I wouldn't give up cooking for any other skill.

Someone mentioned curry with coconut milk earlier, and I've never really cared for that style of curry. I always feel that the coconut milk overpowers everything else... at least for the three different places I've tried it.

Cooking is always funnier when you don't follow recipes, I'm not saying that because I'm a trained chef either, if you're inexperienced, just check the ingredients and add stuff you think would fit, and almost never measure the ingredients, just add by taste. :)

Grilling is probably the best thing in the world, damn, you can never go wrong with a T-bone.

I pretty much have to not follow the recipe. I'm always missing ingredients.

I don't feel confident enough either. Sometimes I make something and I throw away the leftovers if I'm not confident in it. I just don't want anybody to taste my failure. What a waste of food.

It's pretty impossible to screw up grilling unless you just completely ignore the grill. Although one of my friends tried to make a blooming onion on a grill that didn't turn out at all. I was doubtful to begin with on that prospect though.

And yeah, it's not 100% necessary to follow recipes while cooking, although I would advise against that in baking unless you're a little more experienced with that. Some things are pretty delicate and can easily be screwed up to where the whole thing has to be tossed. I was making some icing the other week and I ended up adding too much sugar in the middle and the whole thing turned out wrong and had to scrap the whole batch. ^___^;;;

Welcome King Endymion!

But honestly, I can't take anyone seriously if they look like you and then say they have any confidence issues at all, lol. Kinda makes the rest of us feel like we should crawl into a hole and hide, haha.

Honestly though, take that as a compliment. You look great.

I met someone who'd never seen raw chicken. And it was chicken thighs, so they were even more confused.

We made a recipe out of some Jamie Oliver 'reimagined british food' cookbook the other day - some lamb shanks with caramelised onion, Guinness, mint, spring onions, marmalade and leek&potato mash. One of the tastiest things I've ever eaten.

He also posts a picture of himself in a wife beater. He seems confident to me.

Yeah, that's what I love about grilling, just sitting there watching it, no stress whatsoever.

Baking should never really be done without following recipes, you should actually weigh every ingredient for best result, I'm most careful with cakes with baking soda in them. Bread and buns with yeast I'm less careful with, it's hard to fail with yeast if you have a little experience with it. ^_^

I took those pictures last week, the only time I looked at myself in the mirror and thought I looked alright. In real life, I have the worst confidence ever, can't even accept an invitation in belief that it's just for pity.
edit: I'm not walking around like that outside of my house, I had a shirt over. :p

And thank you so much, Magnus. :)

I only experiment with baking if it's for adding little things like chocolate chips or nuts, but yeah for the most part I stick to the instructions.

Yeah, that kind of baking is fun, adding different nuts and stuff to mudcakes is fantastic, the results are almost always great. ^_^
My brother adding tobacco to chocolate pudding for selling in the school cafeteria was a less great idea. -_-

Man, you really have the worst confidence ever. You're a fine looking dude (several guys in this very thread told you that already ;)) and yet you think that it was "the only time you looked alright"?

King - don't worry I think you are hot and that is coming from me, someone who lacks self confidence. I'm sure you will meet a nice guy someday. :)

Also how old are you?

Oof, I really dislike that term.

I don't know what else to call them. I think "tank top" sounds too girly. I looked it up on Wikipedia, and I guess it can be called an A-shirt.

I also like the guy in the image they used for the article.

Haha, oh dear.

I do have to confess something though, until fairly recently I thought that the wasabi peas were the peas from which wasabi was made despite knowing that it was deemed the Japanese horseradish and I knew horseradish was a root.
Also, realized that couscous was made from wheat and wasn't just some type of grain harvested as it is.

Well, I just bought a bread machine because I was tired of making my weekly bread by hand and the first 2 tries were utter failures. The bread looked like clump more that a loaf.

I didn't follow the recipes that came with the bread machine thought because who put milk and butter in their bread?

I say tank top because that's what they are. Doesn't sound girly to me at all.

That kind of thought process is hardly rational, though. It's an insecurity.

Yes, there are a lot of pictures of me that even I get a shock from seeing, there is a reason I never take pictures with my face directly facing the camera, haha.

Alcoori - I've never used a bread machine actually, but haha, I always use milk and butter in my bread, I think it's in the basic recipe. XD

Scott - Thanks, Scott. I'm turning 23 this year, everyone says I look way older, idk. Me not having to show my ID when buying alcohol when my 5 year older sister having to show ID when buying nasal spray isn't the best feeling. I'm gonna look 50 when I'm 30. :D
