Uncharted looked cool from the reviews I read. but it didn't hook me so I may have to give it a rental first.

Is RE5 a rental or a buy? I usually finish those games pretty quickly and then theres zero replay value.

RE5 is...okay. Certainly a rental. Some people really like it, like Dragonlife, but I personally think it was okay.

It's super awesome to play the entire story with a friend.

Download the Demos and Judge yourself.

Uncharted 1 is a rental.
Uncharted 2 buy

RE5 while I don't like the Single Player mode much I find tons of hours of entertainment on Mercenaries mode.

There's plenty of content in RE5, especially if you get the Gold edition with all the additional DLC (grants you two extra scenarios, the Versus mode and Mercenaries Reunion). I, for instance, put hundreds of hours in the Mercenaries mode alone but then again I'm in the minority of people who actually liked the game.

If you plan to only go through the main campaign once, I'd say rent it. Otherwise, it is a definitive purchase for me.

I'll pretty much agree with everyone else's sentiments. Rent it, but if you love mercenaries mode/don't mind replaying through the higher difficulty levels then buy it. If you plan to play solo though, then I'd avoid buying altogether.

Good input, everyone. Thanks. I had to wait forever for the damn thing to Update and now its taking 8 minutes to install the game. Zomg hurry up!

<3

The game is tons of fun in co-op. I only ever did it single-player for the infinite rocket launcher unlock and beat-it-within-this-time Achievement, I believe.

I have over 200 hours logged. A good chunk of that is playing it with my best friend in Mercenaries. Local, of course. Nothing beats having friends sitting next to you, which is how I beat the campaign the first time.

OH GOD, MEMORIES.

As soon as I got the game, I picked up my friend and we played the whole campaign in one sitting. We did Mercenaries together, unlocking all the stages at the minimum. I repeated the process for the DLC as well. Good, good times.

Lucky. I pretty much had to bribe people to play the damn game with me D: The game definitely does shine when playing cooperatively though. And I loved the DLC, especially that mercenaries map with all the lickers, so much fun.

Because your connection was weird. It didn't like us playing together; I remember having to put it on random just so we could play.

Love RE5. Tons of fun.

I'm lucky to have some great friends. The same guy and I did the entirety of Trauma Team together as well; even the single-player stuff. We just switched turns.

And I got three of my friends to play Dokapon Kingdom on the Wii...hehe.

Aww, consider me jealous haha. My cousin and I once tried to play Metroid Prime 3 at the same time. One of us would do nunchuck and the other one wiimote. It was pretty intense!

Ugh!

Only 2 of my IRL friends play games but are never playing/online. I have to resort to randoms to play games with, like the 12 year old boy from the Netherlands that played Borderlands with me for 3 hours - I felt dirty.

I can't believe I just saw a fart joke in MGS game. Lawl.

My PSN id is fenris_unbound if anyone cares. Though I don't have too many multiplayer games yet :(

I think that type of comedy is common in MGS games.

Question:

Would you date a person you don't find attractive [at first]? I mean, when you see someone for the first time, it's the looks that grab you (before even having the chance to exchange words).

I personally do not really care about looks [or body types], but the face makes it or breaks it for me (that's as far as my superficiality goes, I think).
I kind of feel bad because I always expect people not caring about looks and giving each others a chance and I know that's not possible, but maybe that's hypocrisy on my part... I don't know (for what it's worth, I always have problems looking myself at the mirror).

I guess that when it comes to online [dating/relationships/etc], it's easier to relate to the person's personality first because of how much talking/conversation it requires/involves.

Not initially no, but if I became friends with him (I'm not too particular about what my friends look like...) and was single it's possible I could fall for him depending on how he made me feel when I was around him.

I have problems looking in the mirror as well btw.

I never buy multiplayer games unless I know my friend is willing to play them with me (on 360). The only one that could be different is Anarchy Reigns when it's cheaper. I'm not a big online person, unless it's L4D/L4D2 (play with a rotating group; they're great) and TF2 (GAF server) on PC.

And Brawl :D

This is probably really random, but do you really live in DC Teh Hamburglar? Your thread about grading policies had me curious.

Nope. I used to live in Fairfax, VA though. my teacher friend and I live in Indiana.

Ah cool. Virginia is a pretty nice place. I hit up a few of the malls there every now and then.

I have to say, probably not, and it makes me feel like a terrible person. It's hard to remember that no one really gets to choose how their face looks.

The first boy I fell in love with, and the only person I've had such strong feelings for is moving away for a new job in a few days. I've barely spoken or seen him and I tried talking to him the other night. I told him I wanted to hang out before he leaves because there's a good chance I may not see him for years, and it seems that whenever there's a chance for us to do so, nothing happens. He told me we'll hang out before he leaves, but I'm doubtful. I don't think I'm as in love with him as I once was, but I still love him a lot.

I hate that I love him.

Does he know how you feel? Is he gay?

It was awesome. The only bad thing about living in the DC burbs is that you may as well be living on the moon as far as DC gays are concerned. Nobody wants to date anyone outside the beltway haha :(

He does know how I feel, but no, he is not and it sucks. I think I've mentioned my situation with him before on these boards.
Hmm... That's a very tough situation but you're going to have to move on from him. If he doesn't feel the same way, and is certainly not gay, then there's no point in being stuck on him. It's only going to continue to hurt you. I was once in a similar situation. I once felt that I was in love with one of my straight friends. For years I felt like I was so attached to him. We always knew how we were feeling, finished each other sentences, and whatnot. Of course in my mind, I knew nothing good would ever come from liking him. He was straight, and that's that. It took me a while to "get over" him, and to this day, I still have some sort of affection towards him, but I have since moved on. Your situation is a bit different as he knows how you feel towards him. I never told my friend how I felt about him, but he did know that I was gay.

It sucks that i always fall for the straight guys -___-

I'm sure it will be easier to get over him once he moves, but while he's here I want to see and talk to him for a little while. When I was talking to him the other night, I had a feeling in my chest I haven't felt in a while, and we were just talking about Battlestar Galactica.

Also, yes, falling for straight guys sucks. I used to think I had a chance with him because we used to be very close and I thought he might have had mutual feelings, but was either too afraid or insecure to show them. It turns out I was misreading everything.

Well, good luck with your situation and I hope you get to hang out with him before he departs :)

I hate it when I feel like they're flirting with me, but they're really not.

*sigh* I just saw a perfect guy on a bus. Again. Imagine him having the body of Chris Evans but his face is more masculine/not as baby-faced as Evans.

I stood next to him without even having the guts to look at him directly. Oh well, it's not like I have a chance with him. He's probably straight and wore that tight-fitting white shirt to impress the ladies on the bus. But damn it, those were the best 20 or so minute bus ride I've experienced. /yeahiknowimpathetic
