It's definitely not Skin (the gif I posted, the one you posted is). I watched all of the season (UK version of course) and no, I can guarantee you that these people aren't in Skins.

However you should watch Skins (UK). The first season is awesome.

Perhaps whatever they see in straight men they haven't found yet in gay men? I dunno. I fall for straight guys because I tend to have more in common with them (particularly in the area of sports, I cannot talk to any of you about college football and I hate that).

But you can talk to us about dicks!

Also, welcome to Archurro and Zoibie!
For you Archurro, my advice would be to mention you like guys if the topic come up and not to lie about it. After that you should tell it to people you like (ie the friends you're gonna make there) and attending a LGBTQ group is definitely a great idea.

Continuing on the topic of my tumultuous love life, one of the guys I was casually dating just announced to me that he was now "kinda seeing someone" and as a consequence he was putting and end to us dating.
We had only been on 2 official dates, made out a little bit so it's not such a big deal. It's a shame though because he was really easy to talk to, we had a great chemistry (IMO) and he was dashingly handsome. He had an "all-american" thing that as a Frenchman drove me crazy.
Oh well, it was kinda doomed from the start since he is going on tour with Legally Blond at the end of September. But I really appreciate him letting me know instead of just not saying anything and stopping talking to me. I can tell he's a sweet guy so the guy he's decided to be exclusive with is a hell of a lot lucky.
Bitch.

Also, tried to set up a coffee-date with the guy that wanted to tell me in person why he disappeared and guess what? He hasn't replied to my text. Haha, seriously that guy.

My mom told I could be Cher if I wanted and she still would love me no matter what. I rolled on the floor laughing and she basically laughed her ass off at my reaction.

My father on the other side he didn't took it well and I simply do not talk about it with him until he is comfortable with those terms and I'm not gonna wait for his approval since he knows this is my private life and not his.

Still I get treated like a little kid by them -_-

I think that is Skins. Either season 1 or 2. and that guy is nicholas hoult.

If a dude you havent see in 6+ years, and you had a mild mutual attraction to back then, but couldnt get together then cuz you were dating someone else, sends you a PM on Facebook, saying that you look great and wants to catch up for lunch or drinks, is it a date?

Yeah. Have fun.

You too Zephyr.

And word of advice for that guy who's struggling to come out: The only way you'll ever be truly happy as a gay man is if you put yourself out there with no regrets. I met a guy I'm going on a date with because I went to a Pride event and made a concerted effort to get to know him.

Fuck what other people think.

Really. I dunno. He said "Ive changed for the better", and sent me his phone number to text to. But Im like all nervous, cuz I dont know if its just to catch up or date-date. Gay guys can be friends, and have lunch without it being a date. Also, Im assuming the attraction back in the day was mutual, but Im not certain.

Well was he been flirtatious? Thats usually a giveaway

We were both in long term relationships at the time, so we didnt really flirt. Although, one time he said I reminded him of his highschool boyfriend, who he had been so in love with.

Ive been fretting over my response to him. Not sure what to write back.

edit: For reference though, I sent him a message on FB saying "hi" 20 days ago, and he only just responded yesterday. So I dunno.

Just see it as potential then. An opportunity. Go and have fun, let us know if it felt like a date or not.

Hnm, doesn't sound like a date to me. It seems like he just wants to catch up. I wouldn't go in thinking it's one, anyway.

btw, xelios, did you finish the book?

I haven't had a chance; I had a couple of appointments today and was exhausted so I took a nap when I got home. I am about 3/5ths in though.

That's pretty open-minded, I'll give you that.

If I could make GIFs I'd make some of Noah's Arc, Noah and Wade had the best kiss scenes.

Where are the hot gay black characters on tv?

Just a quick question for gay

I know two gay people in real life and BOTH of them feel the need to parade around and force it down peoples throats, are all gay people like this? Because my experience with them havent been very good and if there's another gay person i meet in real life im scared i'll put them down or attach some negative connotation to her/him/it/whatever the fuck it is.

No and I find that fucking annoying too.

Try to ignore it. Have they come out recently? A lot of the time, when a guy comes out, they think of it as a LICENSE to MINCE and generally get on everyone's TITS.

Nah they've been out for a while but I think it's now that everyone knows about it, it's their thing if you get what I mean. Sort of like the show Carson Kressley puts on.

I also mean gay gaf, not gay because that wouldn't make sense.

EDIT: I should clarify on the it, shemale? transgender? ladyboys? whatever you want to call it, i'm honestly not trying to be offensive. i've seen it be referred to as a trap once? I just wanted an answer abo

Ah well, suck it up, I'm not sure what you'd expect people here to tell you, but you can't seriously assume that EVERY gay man thinks or behaves in a uniform manner. There isn't some big GAY FINISHING SCHOOL that we all attended during the summer :P

There are all kinds of gay people, just as there are anyone else. It sounds like you just have an issue with their flamboyant behaviour and that's fine, but perhaps you should get to know them, and other gay men better, before you start with the broad strokes.

Okay well thank you for the response, the last thing I wanted to do was to insult you but I think I messed up somewhere. The two gay people are really nice that I know it's just that flamboyant attitude that you called it and actually forcing it down other peoples throats that was putting me off.

I didn't mean the it comment to be offensive, I'm not sure what people call it as I've seen all types of different labels like shemale, ladyboy, transgender, traps, I just meant whatever you want to call it.

EDIT:

Agh I'm sorry I didn't mean to offend, I'll just leave but I was just curious about that question.

Im curious, what exactly are they forcing down your throat? Them being themselves? You may not think being flamey or flamboyant isnt real gay. But, it is. Not for all gays, but alot are like that. Would you prefer that they not be themselves to appease your sensitive sensibilities?

It's like using nigger and saying you didn't mean to offend any black person. I mean seriously.
Forcing it down people's throat? You can use that for any kind of behavior, it's just a silly thing to say. If they bother you just don't talk to them.

I think you just don't know many gays. Give them a chance, they might be really nice people :)
