Gay-GAF: Soo, what's the deal with lisps?

Why is it that in the media any time they have a gay character he either has a lisp or a feminine voice? I mean, yeah I know some of them do have these types of voices but I have a gay friend who acts nothing like the "stereotypical" gay. He acts completely normal, sounds like any other guy and if I didn't see that he had a boyfriend on Facebook I wouldn't even know he was gay. Anyway, where did this gay "voice" come from?!

There's this stereotype about gays being woman-like because of their attraction to men.

I've only met about 4 gay men, and they have all fit that stereotype. It's probably just a coincidence though.
