I just got Castlevania HoD and AoS used, and I deleted all the save files, but there are still modes in the games that are "unlocked" which I'd rather earn by myself.

The last time I had this sort of situation (Advance Wars), the instruction book said how to enter a complex button sequence (hold L, right on the D-pad, and Select) when turning on the power to reach a screen which gives you the option to fully clear all saved memory in the cartrige. I went through the instructions on both Castlevania games, but they don't make any mention of that sort of thing. And nothing I've tried works.

So does anyone know if there's a similar code for these two games, and what it might be?

Checked the manuals for both games, and found no memory reset instructions.

Unfortunately, there is no way to reset the game's system data so that the unlockable features will reset. You can start the game over by deleting the individual save files, but you can't "relock" the unlockable items.

Dang. Ah well, I guess I'll just pretend some things don't exist until I beat the games a couple times.

There is one way to do it...

Find a cheap, used GBA Action Replay or the older Game Shark unit. It can be used to completely erased the GBA save data.
