YU-NO: A Girl Who Chants Love at the Bound of this World, 5pb’s PlayStation 4 and PS Vita remake of the acclaimed visual novel, will launch in Japan on November 17, the publisher announced. It will cost 7,800 yen for the standard edition, 7,000 yen for the download edition, or 11,000 yen for the limited edition.

The limited edition includes a five-disc YU-NO high-res soundtrack DVD and 80-page Perfect Guide featuring setting and character artwork, route charts for each heroine, and music liner notes from Ryu Takami and Keishi Yonao, who are leading the game’s background music and arrange.

Kind of excited. Hopefully it gets localized.

This is supposed to be quite dark, if I'm not mistaken?

According to the Wikipedia article it includes references to cannibalism and incest, so....yeah, sounds darker than the the artwork leads you to think.

Also this part of the game sounds really cool:

The game's protagonist travels between various parallel worlds in order to solve the mystery of his parents' disappearance. Although parallel worlds are not an unfamiliar concept in science fiction, the game uses concepts from physics, mathematics, philosophy, history and religion to construct a unique fictional universe.

Actually that stuff isn't that bad in Yu-No. Having played it myself. I don't want to spoil anything tho. Doubt that will stay in this version.

Spoilers below.

It also contains some NTR, which I would assume will be cut from the remake.

Cannibalism and incest? Good thing it's not a Nintendo game!

What is this game about? What kind of game is it? What platform did it originally appear on?

That art style looks great.

But
there is incest.

The original one is one of the best graphic adventures I've ever played. Yes, there's explicit content, but there's much more in the game than that. Simply amazing.

I'd totally buy the remake, but I doubt that it's going to be published in the West.

Kanna is his daughter too. Remember the woman he met in the other world after he lost Yu-no's mother? That's Kanna's mother. It's pretty implied that he's the father.

No. Kanna is not at all his daughter. She existed before Takuya ever went to the other world. Amanda is indeed her mother tho.

Amanda ended up in Takuya's world and had Kanna. Kanna's whole deal is she didn't have a father. I felt like they implied it was him because of the timing.
Anyway, I thought the game was incredibly good except for that stuff.

I couldn't get into the original. The main character was completely unlikable, and the other characters surrounding him were boring and cliche. The adventure game elements were also clunky and borderline frustrating.

I'll give it another shot if the remake ever gets localized. It's still an interesting concept, just not one I thought was executed well.

Thats nice to include the old game, man I don't like this new art style in comparison, I wonder how the music will sound though as that was very very good.

I know this has low chance of being localized, but I'm gonna cross all my fingers that it comes across, because everything I've read about it sounds so good.

Since this is a console remake, I doubt any of that will remain in it.

Uh it was. Just Yu-No and Takuya. Ayumi is not blood related.

Kanna was revealed post-epilogue to be your and Amanda's daughter

I'd honestly rather that they either remove it entirely or give a much better justification for it.

I hope even more that you have actual interactivity in the
epilogue chapter
.
