Lol @ the guys saying they'll go PC.
We have had DRM for years, called Steam, and we love it.

Not the same... Not sure why someone would have to explain this.
This is still a possibility. Not Sony, third parties.
If the speculations true then Sony's already given them the out; in that they can just blame third parties since Sony's leaving it up to them.
Even though it's pretty clear that would just be Sony's tacit approval of the policies without wanting to seem like they're supporting it like MS.
And lets all give a nice toast to choice in the marketplace.Fully expected.
MS were not going to be doing this without Sony doing it too.
EAs fault in 3, 2, 1...You know we will, even if they just deflect blame.
I'll wait for E3 before I make any snap judgments.
PC it is.
Wait, because there's limitations on used games , you're going to PC where there aren't any used games at all?
Like I said before, EA dropped online passes on ALL SYSTEMS. Not just for Xbox.
So yeah -- it was obvious (at least to me) that the PS4 was going to have some used game restrictions.
The used games market is HUGE in Japan, so you better be right.Unless Sony wants to give up Japan to Nintendo, the most they will do is give publishers a choice.
You mean the games nobody will buy, causing the AAA business model to collapse?Wins what? Lacking all the games MS and Sony will get?
No blame on Sony, blame publishers.
Why do people keep saying this? PC has the worst DRM of the lot.
Wonder how they would even implement that when you can use the PS4 without an internet connection.
"You can play offline, but you may want to keep it connected," he suggested. "The system has the low-power mode - I don't know the official term - that the main system is shut down but the subsystem is awake. Downloading or updating or you can wake it up using either the tablet, smartphone or PS Vita."
Are all of those things optional, though? For people who have broadband data limits, for example? They can customise everything?
"Oh yes, yes, you can go offline totally. Social is big for us, but we understand there are some people who are anti-social! So if you don't want to connect to anyone else, you can do that."
But we also get the prices and sales to justify it.
If you are going to get DRM might as well have the convenience that could come with it.
Not Sony, third parties.
Gamers are going to accept this.
