a shameless clone of the xbox 360's best game (imo) is now available on pc , whilst it clearly isnt as good as the 360 version yet and doesnt have the cool particle effects either , its still fun and seems to be getting updated on a daily basis , just thought i'd post it for anyone who hasnt got a 360 as virtually any pc out there should run it.

You can download it here i had a few issues downloading it with firefox and had to use i.e tab extension and also on my pc running windows xp i had to run it in windows 98/me compatibilty mode to get it to run.

I got this the other day. It's clunkier than the PC version and there are reports of it not working correctly with everyone's 360 controller.

To get it to work with mine I did this:
Joystick 2 x-axis: U
Joystick 2 y-axis: R

WTF

Does it update automaiticaly from teh Web or do u have to dowload a whole new game from a site? If you have to get it from a site could u provide a link.

Hey man I found this one game and it's pretty fun but am not going to link to it nor even mention that it's called Grid Wars

looks like MS shut it down, though

Is there an aiming cursor, or do the shots just go whichever direction your right analog is pointed? Because with hybrid mode I move the ship around with the keyboard, and there's an aiming cursor for the mouse. It's pretty weird, but I just managed 240,000.

I think that GW is rather overrated myself. It can't really keep my interest for more than a few minutes at a time, but I'm not really a fan of that whole Robotron, one screen, dual-joystick style of gameplay. I prefer something like Tsunami 2010, a freeware Tempest 2K clone with lots of OpenGL eye-candy. I seriously recommend you Google for it, if you even remotely liked Tempest or Tempest 2K.

that Crimson Land looks interesting...
but Geometry Wars = the greatest game ever
:D

Ok

That game is awesome

Geometry Wars is definitely in my top 100 games of best time ever. The sheer playability and replayability of this game makes it a classic. This is a game that you can come back to many years from now, and it will still be good.
