Third parties like Namco, EA, THQ and Ubisoft want to make money from Xbox 360 versions of their games.

If they annouced the same titles for PS3, many gamers would simply wait it out. We will have to wait a very long time (probably early next year) to see which Xbox 360 ports PS3 gets.

Depends on when the PS3 launches. The top selling game is March would generally be 20th-25th during holiday sales. Furthermore, don't the GR games do better on the Xbox vs the PS2 saleswise?

Considering GR games are seeing yearly releases, I doubt it. I'm guessing GR4 for Xbox 360 and PS3 on 2006.

GR4 is inevitable, I guess.

Right now I'm just trying to consider if it's even worth getting a 360. NHL 2K, Ghost Recon, and Ridge Racer are the series I'm most interested in (for launch), but they'll all be on the PS3. Maybe Call of Duty, too.

Perfect Dark will be the catalyst, I think, if it's very good.
