I'm kidding. I think it's a good idea even if there was some bizarre rule against personal refrigerators. He doesn't get stuff in mailbags, so it'll be a cool thing to receive and he can always use it at home or whatever.

Since it'll take some time before any money can actually be finalised I say worry about whether you're the one to actually purchase/ship said gift then when we're all ready.

As long as you buy it on amazon.com instead of the UK site, it should originate and be delivered in the US. It should be no different from a US resident buying it.
But the point is someone would need to receive it from amazon first, in order to personalise it.
Amazon will let you ship to someone else. I do it a lot, but it would probably be easiest if the person buying it was the one to receive it, if only because it saves the trouble of sending and confirming a shipping name and address.
Ah yeah, but in that case, like you said, it would be better off just having the same person in the US both buy and receive it.

Yeah, I'm okay to personalize it. I guess I can order it also. Will make sure my paypal account is up to date. My account isn't verified because I don't want to give them my bank info if that matters.

Although I understand the premise of the Patrick's video essay was more about first person platforming mechanics within My Story about My Uncle rather than the game itself, and that Patrick probably has many different subject areas he wants to discuss rather than individual games, I felt it ventured towards a bit too close to the the video review area. I still enjoyed that I was digesting a concise review and wider commentary about first person platforming mechanics within a shorter piece than the Kinect video. Great work.
EDIT: That new Mac Pro still seems like the art of computer wizardry. The size of it is still outstanding.

If you see the mini fridge and a portable generator in my purchase history things have gone terribly askew.

I'm not a fan of Ms. Alexander, and while making dumb "775 million" comments is one thing, some of the crap she and others get is pretty despicable, and we're not all like that.
