They have half an hour to kill before GB West is ready to go, and Gang Beasts wouldn't work, so eh.

This is fun! Cara's US work/trip/voyage thing is super fascinating
Yeah but disappointed to hear it confirmed that Cara doesn't already have dual citizenship/work visa. Any hope of a GB hire got diminished slightly. That process isn't easy, especially for non-indemand professions.

it's like a Bombcast, tbh

Except Bombcasts are mostly funny. Except when they have random guests, then its terrible.

edit: why is it that Cara never actually talks about "mainstream" (stuff that is discussed on gaf, for example) games in depth? Its always either shock value or super indie stuff that actually sucks to play. To be clear, I have only seen her talk on GB content.

Have you visited Giantbomb before? They have more non-game podcasts than game podcasts now.

Sure. And they talk about other stuff on UPF, but hentai? Eh. Not my thing. As I said if it's yours that's fine. Just find it odd I'm paying for them to discuss hentai.

LOL chat mod:

"Let's just be clear: discussions of hentai etc aren't fair game going forward just because of this stream"

Gangbeasts is too demanding for GBEast tech

So at least this explains the mystery. I stopped by the site and saw "Oh cool a GB East Live Show" and clicked on it and listend to some people talk about how they like to eat their fucking hotdogs for 3 or 4 minutes and left. At least now I know they tried to do something relevant to their audience.

And yes, I know some portion of the GB audience just likes to listen to random bullshit like what the guys had for dinner or how many times they wipe their ass when they are wiping or whatever, but that's definitely not me. I visit videogame sites for videogame talk just like I'd turn on Frontline or read NY Times for news or turn on ESPN to watch sports.

At least this reassures me they initially tried and weren't just randomly disregarding their audience focus for no good reason.

And you're a subscriber? Weird.

Takes all kinds, I guess.

You'll find a segment of the GB audience that will literally defend anything and everything the crew ever does and every opinion they ever express. I don't know why it has that cult following, I find it kind of creepy, but it exists.

I just like their games commentary and that's why I visit donate to the site. I personally think it's weird and totally unprofessional to expect people to be interesting in whatever the fuck you want to do. It's a general pet peeve of mine that people don't consider their audience and who is listening/reading anymore in the narcissistic age of social media. (No, nobody cares to see a picture of the lunch you ate, thanks or to read your fights with your boyfriend be aired in public.) I don't mind it as much when they want to just split off entire non-gaming segments that I can wholly ignore, though. It's when I have to wade through and constantly skip forward to get to the actual content the site is supposed to be about that it starts to annoy me.

WTF this hentaiphd's Instagram. Cara wasn't exaggerating at all, this woman is fully entrenched in the lifestyle(???). I may now be on a watchlist.
