Ha, ha, wow. From an American's point of view that commercial would have pretty crazy racist implications but I'm sure the fried chicken stereotype doesn't stretch as far as Australia.

Well we know African Americans and fried chicken and watermelon stereotype is racist in America, don't see why it has to have implications for the rest of the world though.

Well, there's something to be said about the frustrated white guy being seated among a bunch of loud black people not being a very smart move either.

It doesn't. I recognize that the commercial wasn't referencing the stereotype but taken out of context and viewed strictly from an American point of view, the commercial would be absurdly racist.

Well to be fair it's meant to play up being stuck in the opposing team's stand, and the opposing team is a collective of nations mostly populated by black people who are known to be very festive.

Sure, I get what they're going for. But still, I understand that some people would view at as tone deaf at best.

Yeah I'm still mad that Indian cricket fans seem to be Indian. It's not an insulated sport like baseball where only Americans give a shit about it.

Only from an American view, and why should they care about the American view?

The only thing I can think of it being racist is that the west Indies do have a pretty big population who are descendants of the American slave trade, but I dunno if fried chicken has the same connotations in the Caribbean as it does in the Us.

Well it did make me look up the start date of the film over here and it's two fucking months later. How can a film company do something like this for a big film in this day and age? They do know of piracy right?

What the hell was up with the audio during the NFL 2K5 video?

I think that instead of simplifying things - getting him and Alex two cheap headsets, and running things akin to a regular guy posting on Youtube - Vinny is trying to do too much fancy stuff with the small amount of equipment he has, and is is leading to some weird results. He is stepped down from using a tricaster and multiple others pieces of equipment, to using a 2012 laptop with bit of software to trying and do everything

Vinny needs some time - everything will come together.

Mics (or maybe just one... not sure if they're still using the boom setup or if they got audio gear) were way hot to start off. Someone in the chat pointed it out and Vinny fixes it partway through.

I reached a point where he adjusted the volume, but both the in-game and voice audio were still awful.

Yeah, it just stuck out since their videos prior seemed fine.

They can't run the marketing on two regions simultaneously. They probably lose more viewers from not having Megan Fox on a bunch of chat shows than piracy

Dan has some great energy he brings to quick looks.

"You want some pizza Jeff?"

"No I'm good"

Other companies get shit done also no one cares about Megan Fox but I guess it's the only real name that film has.

I don't give a fuck about the new Turtles movie, but yeah, it's a bummer that a lot of films still come to the theatre months later than in the US. I thought movie theatres going digital would fix most of that, but it's still a problem here in Norway.

I still love the Turtles. The current comic series is great and the show on Nickelodeon is also alright. So yeah I kinda want to see the film but I of course have very low expectations. If it sucks I will ignore all potential sequels just like with these Transformers shit shows.

I remember someone being angry during HireGate that Jeff basically hired a yes man instead of hiring someone who could have brought unique views to GB.

Oh how little we knew then.

Anyone who listened to the Power Bombcast and heard Jeff and Dan argue about Brock Leaner would know he's not a yes-man.
