Extra Life, the annual global 24-hour video game marathon to raise money for children's hospitals, is upon us once more for the year 2015. Last year, Team Giant Bomb (Giant Bomb + whoever else from the community who wants to raise money) raised $200,886. That's a lot of money!
This year, the duders will stream from Thursday afternoon to Monday morning, all for the kids. The team donation goal is $250,000, with $250,000 also being the initial goal for the Giant Bomb guys themselves (which is probably something they'll change, but for now it's the same as the team goal). There's currently almost 200 people streaming under the Team Giant Bomb banner, and we've already raised over $25,000!

Like last year, the GB guys have decided that the money they receive will go to Children's Hospital & Research Center Oakland, Northern California’s only pediatric trauma center.

THE SET-UP:
The stream will essentially be split into six parts, from different people from the Giant Bomb Universe. Austin will kick it off TODAY at 3PM PACIFIC. The schedule:
The first stream starts 3PM (Pacific) Thursday, November 5:
The stream will be Austin playing games from home. He will probably play some anime or mech games or whatever, watch some anime because that's what I assume Austin likes to do and whatever else. He has been #buildingthelist of what games to play for a while now, so tune in!
The second stream starts 7AM (Pacific) Friday, November 6:
Dan, Jeff, Brad, Drew(?) and whatever guests they can convince to come on will host a 12 hours long gaming marathon. Games will be played, horrible food mistakes will be made, and they'll even record a free UPF in the middle of it. Rumour has it that Patrick's in San Francisco?
The third stream starts 7PM (Pacific) Friday, November 6:
Vinny has gotten permission from his wife to stream from their home the hours when their kids are asleep. Vinny streaming by himself has given us GOAT Giant Bomb content like Bot Colony and Velvet Sundown, so expect some magic happening here!
The fourth stream starts 3AM (Pacific) Saturday, November 7:
Jason became a dad a couple of weeks ago, but that's not gonna stop him from participating. See A-Striker play some dumb games from his home and/or console a crying baby for a few hours.
The fifth stream starts 9AM (Pacific) Saturday, November 7:
Drew and Alexis started Extra Life for Giant Bomb a few years ago, and they're at it again with another 23 hour live stream from the Giant Bomb SF office. Watch them try to stream online co-op of the Halo 5 campaign while sitting on the same couch, play some other games and hopefully have a bunch of random guests on. Maybe Alexis will once again become a monster while playing The Sims? How many chicken nuggets will he eat, and who will slap him for charity this year? This is the main Extra Life day so Drew and Alexis will be streaming alongside most of the other participants of the extended Giant Bomb team.
The sixth and final stream starts 8AM (Pacific) Sunday, November 8:
The man, the myth, the monster: Dave Lang will stream for 24 hours from his home in Chicago. Will he announce a new Windjammers on the stream? Will he try to fix Arkham Night on the stream? Only time will tell, all we know is that he's gonna play some games and do his yearly ranking of the Giant Bomb members, and he'll do it for the moms.
