Ha Sklarbro Country did a thing on Dan's feud with Canseco months ago but I didn't really know who Dan was at the time. They were pretty much on Dan's side. :p

Their friendship with Greg Kasavan prevented them from reviewing his first game. That is not good when you let things affect your job, and not reviewing a game just causes people to look at other sites for the info they should be providing.

YEAH! FROM NOW ON THEY'RE NOT ALLOWED TO HAVE ANYMORE FRIENDS.

They were friends with Greg before he even became a developer. The alternative is they review a friend's game and breach journalistic integrity.

What are you suggesting they even do in this situation? Stop being friends with a guy they worked with for years? Or ignore their friendship and review the game anyway?

They review so few things that it probably wasn't an appreciable drop in traffic anyway ant they probably got more traffic for their Building the Bastion series than they would have got for an actual review.

Arguably Giant Bomb had the most informative coverage of Bastion.

They gave a ton of time to Double FIne because they were near their studio.

Giant Bomb was made so they could cover and review whatever the fuck they wanted. Even if they don't a proper review for the site, they will discuss their experiences with said game in the Bombcast anyway.

That friendship also allowed them to debut Bastion on their live show and create a multi part documentary throughout the game's development, along with debuts of builds and live Q&A with the audience.

They don't care about reviewing everything, or even reviews at all at this point. You'll find numerous examples of Jeff stating the site's intentions regarding personal relationships within the industry on the site and elsewhere, they value the stories and honesty that results from putting those interactions on camera or tape over keeping people of interest at arms length like they did in the Gamespot days. If you don't like Drake that's one thing, but they've been at this long enough to not need to question their integrity every time they're joking around with someone on the "inside."

You can repeat that as often as you like but it will never make sense. "Friend of the site" or "friend of the show" is a common expression with no pompous connotations whatsoever.

Take a deep breath, open up pornhub, pretend that the lady on the video is Brad and vent your anger by saying;

this is the weirdest complaint ive ever seen about giant bomb. theyve been saying friend of the site to refer to guests since the site began.

I dislike many of the "friends of the site" but that's what they are. They're often not exactly people you can brag about.

I live in the Bay Area, love Mexican food here BUT I love and sometimes prefer Taco Bell too Dan. Thank you for being brave enough to share this. Your statement made gave me the courage to also share this.

I was surprised when Brad said that PS+ games come out throughout the month and no one corrected him. I know that the change to all the games being available throughout the month is relatively new but come on.

It would be terrible if every PS+ game got automatically added to your PS3, PS4 and Vita download lists. I only want a select few of the games on offer, and certainly don't want my download list cluttered up with games I will never play.

And you don't even have to turn on your console to add games to your account - you can do it from the web store. That was the dumbest videogame-related email in recent memory.

Okay, Dan was right about one thing. Taco Bell stuff is fucking delicious when microwaved a day or two later. I daresay that is how that product is meant to be prepared and consumed.

Old Man's War is a very disappointing book. Great concept with very poor execution. Don't know why it gets the praise it does. Try Armor. Or Forever Peace. Or many others.

If that doesnt work just give him some corn forks to munch on.
