GiFTPiA confirmed!

The sad thing is that Gamecube owners here probably want this game, and according to most reports (like PlanetGamecube's playthrough), it's not very good.

Well, at least Cubivore was rereleased.

Planet Gamecube says:

The game’s take on the theme of growing up is very refreshing, and the presentation of the game is unique. The initial pace is slow, and may even be frustrating to some, but it seems things will pick up as areas get unlocked and mysteries get unsolved. I will reserve my final judgment and recommendations in the review.

Their hands' on impressions (following a few hours of gameplay) were not entirely positive, but the game wasn't completely panned, either. I wouldn't say "it's not very good" is an accurate summary.

Regardless, I'd still like the chance to play the game (even though I don't think that'll ever happen short of importing, and there's no point to that since I don't speak Japanese) because it looks fun, to me. And hell, the Gamecube can always use more RPGs.

I have the Japanese version lying around somewhere. It seems cool but I have no fucking idea what to do.....hopefully it gets localized because I'd like to play it with comprehension!

I believe Giftpia and Chibi Robo have similar mechanics, though I never played through Giftpia more than a few minutes. It's just a typical Skip game. Which means it's good, but has some frustration at first, caused by the short days.

Homeland is awesome too :) I've seen two endings now - I think there's about 10 altogether, more if you count the online scenarios. It's a little easy to exploit, but if you play it properly with friends, it should be great fun.

Really looking forward to Chibi Robo, I can't believe Nintendo's releasing this one over here.

Roll-O-Rama and stage debute have always been completely seperate games.

Roll = Kirby Tilt n Tumble (IE: See avatar)

Roll-o-Rama was incorporated into Stage Debut in 2002/2003, as far as I know. Stage Debut is in development since the N64 days and the experiment is developed for Revolution, a release could happen.

So burned to find that this was a year-old topic. >:( But, a March release? While that would be super awesome, that would be a localization nearly as under the radar as the GBASP+.

Damn you 2004

Wait....we knew about Revolution a year ago?
Someone (IGN?) had it as a rumor that Revolution was the code name, then Iwata used it in his E3 '04 speech.

I gave up waiting for this and imported last week.

Anyone know what I'm supposed to do once I'm into the main game? I seem to walk around the town, get stopped in certain areas, and pass out from tiredness. I've made some money from shaking trees, but there's no sign of a part-time job that I can do. Any ideas?

I do this in real life.

At E3 2004 Iwata used the name Revolution. So when this topic lived, Revolution was widely known, we just hadn't seen console or controller.

What makes you so sure? Kirby tilt turned into Roll-a-Rama and was shown at E3 2002 and then never seen again.

Stage Debut was seen as recently as E3 2003 and never had any of Roll-a-Rama in it...so what do you know?

And who was it that posted Stage Debut was still in development? So many of Stage Debuts features - E-Reader and Camera - are so long dead and buried that I doubt it being in development still.

People! Stop bumping this topic. Let it die! Every time it gets bumped, you tease those of us who had our hopes and dreams with this game crushed when it never came out.
