Hey-

Check out this great site that is giving away totally FREE iPods!

I've joined and I think you should as well.

It's a completely legitimate offer, and this company has already given away $4 million in FREE stuff!

All you have to do is join, complete an online offer, and refer friends to do the same. That's it!

Here is my referral link. To help me get my iPod, click this exact link to join, or copy and paste it into a browser:
http://www.freeiPods.com/?r=WELL_THAT_JUST_ABOUT_WRAPS_IT_UP_FOR_WHITEMIST

WELL THIS IS PRETTY LAME
SO HERE'S MY PROPOSAL

You do this for me and i'm willing to give you my Gmail invites i have 10 so far.
ALL YOU HAVE TO DO is sign up and do 1 of the offers
when the offer you filled out is credited i will email 1 of my invites to you
sound fair??

I think there are more unused gmail invites floating around than there are internet users worldwide by now, so no, it really doesn't.

well i guess if you want gmail and you don't know anyone with gmail or anyone that's willing to give you an invite then i can be able to get you gmail
think of me as a resource but you gotta give to take :lol

well i dun mind if you click it or not or if you refer or not but it's about what you want
you want gmail talk to the guy that posted ahead of me or do the referral and get gmail from me(referral=free ipod)
at least i've got a legitimate offer

What a coincidence. I was about to start a thread offering a free ipod to anyone who could offer me a gmail invite!

I've got a better offer, I'll give you a gmail invite and you do nothing at all, just ask for it. How's that for a deal, folks?

pyramid scheme
n.
A fraudulent money-making scheme in which people are recruited to make payments to others above them in a hierarchy while expecting to receive payments from people recruited below them. Eventually the number of new recruits fails to sustain the payment structure, and the scheme collapses with most people losing the money they paid in.

so where am i making the money or losing it???

first of all anything has monetary value even ur life if someone want's you dead and they willing to pay however much money on getting you killed then ur life is worth only the amount of money they want you dead but to you, your life is worth a lot to you so the value of ur life is greater for you than someone else.

Thanks much, I've been meaning to get an account for a while. I wonder if it's permissible to get two (don't worry, I just took one of yours), since I like my DarthWoo name, but I ought to get something a bit more formal later.

Is he comparing a human life with an iPod?
Either way, this thread flew right up on my top 5 2005 best threads list! :lol

we need a button users can click to ban themselves. i think this idiot would have clicked it and saved everyone some trouble.

hey jinx, buy a TL.
Sorry...I wasn't making fun of you. I was parroting the old joke from chatrooms -- whenever anyone would ask, "How do you send a private message?" the standard answer was always "Alt+F4." If they suddenly vanished, much laughter would ensue.

As for buying a TL...I wish. <SIGH>

How are you liking your new car?

between my busy schedule of posting on gaf, pretending to work on homework, and procrastinating, i've only managed to put about 10 miles on it since i got back to school. i did have to bring it to the dealer to get a code cleared though midweek, so that slowed things down quite a bit as well.

overall it's still pretty embarassing, but i guess that will pass eventually. there are a surprisingly large number of these things on campus, so at least i'm not alone in my stupidity.
