About NOLF, here is that post from last year about it.

So, out of curiousity, do we know when Rollercoaster Tycroon and Riddick are going to disappear from GOG? Fallout disappearing reminds me that, especially with games like those, it's only a matter of time.
DRM just doesn't work, and is terrible as a concept; resistance from gamers is stronger than ever before, but GOG isn't worried that its fans will exploit its DRM free system. GOG customers tend to download a game only once, and when GOG launched a 30-day money back guarantee program, customer support queries only increased by a modest amount.

The bigger problem is sales. Rambourg acknowledges that discounts have their uses, and that companies have to adapt to the market to survive. Yet at the same time he's a little worried that gamers are beginning to believe "their hobby is worth roughly the same as an iPhone app." That's bound to hurt the industry in the long run, as gamers start refusing to pay full price in the expectation of a sale discount.
Honestly, I kinda agree with that second one. People seem like they've stopped shelling out $15 or even $10 for a game, in favor of waiting for it to go on sale. I understand why, obviously, but that can't be healthy.
Let's hope Disney notices their goldmine of Lucasarts titles this year are collecting dust and need to be bought by everyone.
Why can't it be?
Look at PixelJunk Eden on Steam, they discounted the game 90% off for 8 hours and doubled their lifetime income in that time.
Everything depends on team sizes and expectations. Some devs haven't done well with just Steam sales.

GOG sales helped me bite on the witcher and the witcher 2. I loved them so much I WILL be buying Witcher 3 on launch day.
Sales work sometimes in my case.
I wouldn't have tried the games otherwise because I was so on the fence about them.
The near universal praise from GAF wasn't enough to sway you?
And I know this isn't technically Apogee at all, but Commander Keen 6 has been a fucking white whale for me for my entire life (never found a retail copy of it back in the day) so I'd pay hell of money for that.
My Keen-loving heart breaks for you upon reading this. I actually got retail copies of Commander Keens 4, 5 and 6 when I was a kid (still at my parents' house) as well as legitimate copies of 1, 2, 3 and Dreams (sent away for them, I think the disks were mailed to us in a simple cardboard box). I hope they sell it on GoG at some point so you can have a legit copy. =(
All of them though? I thought Keen 6 was different to the others?Keen is with Bethesda, so it's probably not happening.

Why does Beth hate GOG? They're americans, they should love freedom!

@Bethblog @Fallout what about @gogcom?
Bethesda Softworks ‏@Bethblog 2h
@JoshuaCaleb75 our first priority is bringing them back to Steam. Those that already have the game will not be affected.

Did you see this ridiculous twitter exchange with Bethesda about Fallout being restored to GOG? Some sad shit.
Why? They weren't Bethesda's games at that point. Yes it could mean less sales for them, but if they withhold the games out of spite, they make even less money (i.e. none). Their choice.I think Bethesda is pissed about gog delivering the collection for free before delisting.
Considering how bad the server was loaded during that day, pretty much everybody has it now. Anyway, the gog version is worth it for the extra alone.
I thought I already had overlord on GOG. Well, I own it now.![]()
Actually, on that note, I'd quite like to see the *other* Overlord; I wonder what happened to the rights to all those Rowan flight sims, 'cause they were rather good.
Yeah, I would like to try those games. I've heard of them before but I have never tried them myself. Apparently they were acquired by Empire Interactive in 2000.

Empire went under administration in 2009, I wonder who holds the properties now.
That legitimately pissed me off.
we're not currently a publisher on GOG, which is why it's a little easier returning them to Steam.
Is there any chance of Blade Runner ever coming to GOG? I really didn't find much on the subject, so if anyone could help it would be great.

Most likely no, due to various legal licensing issues with the game also being a film property and all that. Westwood games like Lands of Lore and Legend of Kyrandia are on GOG, so at least that is encouraging. I think the Dune games suffer a similar rights setback.
Oh cool, Love for Sail is only $2.39, just might go ahead and pick it up
Isn't Ridley Scott in the process of working on Blade Runner 2?
I mean that probably means nothing but EA has a presence on GOG so if they worked something out it could possibly make it. Though I guess just that in general would be pretty slim if they asked for any sort of fee. The only case scenario would be Hey you can throw that Blade Runner game up we don't care.
It'll probably be a long process, and maybe evolve at some point (though format change suggestions would be greatly appreciated sooner rather than later), but the link to "Recommended Games" from the OP will contain the collection of games people have recommended over the threads, accompanied by quotes from gaf and graphics, to help someone browse a little more visually instead of just a wall of titles. First up, Outcast:

General idea is to use GOG's banners/thumbnails to keep the graphic work down, pick out ~5 interesting quotes of various lengths/detail from gaf members, give a clickable link to the game itself if you want to see more, and a clickable link to the respective forums with a quick-glance overview of what to expect for mods. Threw in a tiny little platform indicator, to show if it's out on Steam/iOS/PSN/etc, not sure if there's a more relevant platform I left out that should get swapped in.
Hopefully I can add a few a week (maybe even one a day if things are slow), but if nothing else it should pretty up the thread a little.
Also, I kinda like the Steam thread's mini GOTY section, so maybe for next year's thread, at the end of this year we can vote on what 2014 GOG releases were the best and have a top 5-10 or so depending on how big the older (and possibly newer) pool of games ends up being.
Well worth it.
Just Sega CD according to wikipedia, and it's not a true sequel in the sense Another World's designer Éric Chahi refuses to even acknowledge it iirc, and it was made without his approval. Still, it probably would be neat to check out if it were available somewhere.
