I've been playing alto saxophone for eight years. I like it. I've gotten pretty good. The more Miles Davis I listen to, however, the more I want to try out trumpet. Now, obviously, saxophone is a woodwind and trumpet is brass so there are many differences in playing. Saxophone's specialty comes from the memorization of the fingerings of notes and being able to quickly locate them. Trumpet, I'm guessing, is based around lip strength and blowing. Am I going to have trouble going from saxophone to trumpet?
