Gonna have an extra $250 - iPod or PSP?

Screw what my personal preferences are. Go with your gut. If you had an extra $250 what would you go with?

Or should I just put some into savings and drink the rest away?

Oh, the choices.

$250 will only get you the PSP

you'll need additional money for games/movies/bigger memory stick.

If that's the max budget, i'll say Ipod, if not, then PSP

if u want something for music on the go... get an ipod...

if u want gaming on the go... why not a micro?

check the games, if there are a couple u want, get a PSP.

Because it's the most overpriced piece of gaming hardware ever, and has no future software support.

if he doesn't have a gba, I think it is a good choice. and has TONS of good games to choose from.

Ipods are so cliched already... if you want status, a PSP is for you.

(But if you want a good music player, go with an ipod; or if you want to play games and watch movies on the go, buy a PSP. Pretty simple if you ask me?)

could get a 6gb mini for $230 now i think, while supplies last. not as thin and light as the nano, but also doesnt have the psp like fingerprint/scratch magnet surface (at least on the black, not sure about white). and has more battery life iirc.

PSP... do yourself a favor get an Iriver H10 or something instead of an Ipod I traded in my 4th Gen 20GB for one and I've never looked back I can say SUPERIOR sound and no Itunes software to deal with.

Go take a gander at those iPod Nanos in-store if you haven't already. The thing is so small it will blow your mind. Besides, like many have already said, $250 will only get you the PSP, not games. At least with the iPod you can actually use it right away, and not have to wait to buy stuff to play on it.

oh yea they're small, my girlfriend has had one for less then 5 days and the screen already has scratchs on it, I went for a run with it, put it in my sweater bocket and when I got home there was a big scratch (not deep, just long) across the screen. and my pockets had nothing in it but cotton lining.

Read this if you're intrested in a Nano.

Again in the long run, you can do a lot more with a PSP then you could with an Ipod ie: music/pictures/video/web browsing/games/

Personally, I found the PSP to be a waste of money, my personal music player was a much better decision. Depends on the games you like. I couldn't stand the psp screen.
