Good $50 CDN or less street-style headphones?

Exactly what the subject says. I'm looking for some to replace my iPod/PSP headphones cause they suck (especially awful for the low sound on encoded movies off memory stick).

So I was wondering if anyone had any good suggestions.

I'm looking for something stylish (probabaly a bit more important than even the sound). I could go for headband one's but I have spikey-esque hair and would prefer street style

I would also prefer something I can pick up at future shop or virgin (would be overpriced there) or A&B Sound.

A) I'm male and straight. (metrosexual-ish though)

B) Tiara's don't deliver sound to my ears.

C) Style is not only important for just general first impressions, but I also want to occasionally be using these at work. So appearance is important in that situation.

Haha, sorry for hassling you.
Unfortunately the only decent phones I know are in the bigass headband style. I do know that JVC generally kicks ass - so I stick with those.

I have a friend with these . He says they're solid - and futureshop will ship them free to your house.

No worries, it was funny :)

I live like a block from futureshop so I'll check them out today or tomorrow. I'm sure they'll let me try them on first.

I got these for like 40$+tax CDN a year ago? I like the minimalistic style and because it's portable

or you can get these since they lowered price probably

I love the clip-ons. I hate strolling around with huge earphones, I keep those for home. I think most people that always have huge earphones around their necks look like dumbasses, but if you dont mind, get that. I'm no audiophile but they sound alright except that some of the sound it obviously lost. I guess I really got them for the style.

Sennheiser MX400 or MX500. Seriously, do your research, these are the best bang for your buck.

I have a pair they sound amazing.

I have those in silver. I'm not an audiophile so I have no idea if they're any good compared to the others recommended (they sound decent enough), but I had a K-Mart voucher and didn't want to waste any of its value so I just bought the most expensive ones I could afford with it and they were the ones. I want to get some good clip-on or buds when I get a proper portable media player, though.

I've got Sony MDR-EX71SL earbuds. They sound pretty goddamned good, and were $50 US. They're worth it, they look sleek enough (giving up sound quality for aesthetics is really not worth it, imo), and they won't mess up your hair.

I want to upgrade to some Etymotic ER6 someday here.... but not for a while yet.

what he said. Great headphones. Bud type, but they fit really comfortably in your ear and help block out sound so you get more delivered to your ear (especially useful for low encoded PSP movies). I used them to watch movies on PSP on a plane, and they did a good job of cutting out some of the aeroplane noise too.

People should rename all headphone threads "how many posts before Sony EX-71s are mentioned". They pop up all the time.

I would like those, but they're like 80 CDN. Kind of pricey.

koss ksc55 (are they called 75s now?)

that's really the only behind the neck style headphone that looks decent and is worth spending money on.

if you don't care about looking like a freak, get koss s/portapros. they won't mess up your perfectly coiffed mane, but you'll look like an alien with them on

I ended up getting the Sennheiser PMX60 headphones.

They're semi stylish, I suppose...but sound very crisp. Almost too crisp. My 128kbs songs on my iPod (which isn't known for good quality audio) is starting to really show, I mean sound. Awesome for the PSP.

They feel pretty comfortable, and while $20 bucks over the price I thought it was worth it. Everything in the 50 range are damn ugly. You either have to go into the 60-70 range or the 20-30 range for decently stylish headphones.

Cause I don't want to wear bad looking headphones? Headphones are part functional, part style.

I mean you're dissing on me for wanting semi-stylish headphones, but would you wear this:

Cause it's more functional than a real watch. I think it's the same kind of situation.
