ok. I'm graduating next may (14 months from now) from my school with a decent GPA (~3.2+) and I haven't taken the GRE yet, but I'll probably smoke the shit out of it. I'll be graduating with a B.S. in Political Science with a concentration of International Relations.

Basically, my question is, do you all know of any good poli sci schools around the country to look into? I'm in michigan and don't want to relocate TOO far. I've already tried U of Michigan, but they only offer a PhD in overall PoliSci, or a break-off of East Europe/Asia/Etc studies.

Any help or ideas you guys have would be appreciated.

it's not near Michigan, but I just checked out ASU (where I am a Poly Sci major) and they do offer a Masters program in International Relations. I don't know how good the program is since I'm still a good 18 months from graduating and haven't started reaserching that stuff yet. Just thought I'd throw it out there.

In case it makes any difference there are approx 900 poly sci undergrads and 50 graduates

yeah. I have no doubt that it is harder than it seems. It's just I've talked to some pretty average people who scored an 1150 overall, so I believe if I study I should be able to get at least the 1200 which everyone seems to want.

I found an AWESOME program at Georgetown, but I'm worried that my resume won't be strong enough to get in.

Time to start finding academic venues via which I can get published. I'm gonna start working on something for the Michigan Journal of Political Science, run by U of M, but I've gotta find more than that.
