You actually get "banned" if you use anything other than a keyboard with that game (including a touch screen). :|

Double-click to zoom on an area of a page is rather consistent across all mobile browsers. I also made an edit to point out full-screen mode only works like this if you support it, similar to desktop flash. For games, video content, etc.

Seems inconsistent since you can't do this with anything else, and it would expect the user to differentiate between real web content and a Flash box.

I'd rather that than nothing.

People will be smart enough to understand that the box they hit play on can be double tapped, just like people were smart enough to learn how to do multitouch or copy and paste. If not, then they don't get full screen. It's a nice option.

ITT we hate on Android's implementation of Flash before we've seen it.

I'm just talking UI design, dude. Don't get pissy.

WHAT.

I love that person. And would love them more for a Android-optimised version.
That's Chris Johnston. Hacker alias superpac I think. He also heads the PlayerOne podcast, which you all should check out because it's amazing.

On the Nexus One, you give focus to something on a webpage using the trackball. The "focus" is denoted by an orange box around the item that is being focused on. Alternatively, I imagine the trackball could be used as a mouse to move a cursor.

I don't think that will work, according to what I know, the trackball isn't free roaming, it barely just jumps from linkbox to linkbox or controls the page. It's not a mouse in the slightest.

IDK, but Symbian already supports Flash so maybe you want to look into how those phones do.

And I believe that's not Flash Lite?

Also, I think most peoples negatives to Flash is not that it can work, it's it's performance on battery,, CPU and heat. I know using my N1 without Flash causes my battery to heat up like a flipping toaster!

I have one and you're right, it jumps link to link.

I'm saying with 2.2 maybe they can implement a cursor to better facilitate Flash. You're talking about "what is" and then using that to judge how it will work with "what will be." Don't assume "what is" won't change when Flash support comes out.

Maybe! But I don't think Google want to do anymore work just to accommodate Flash. I mean when can you really get the cursor to become active, will it work just for games, websites, or videos too? I put I booty on the line that the bare minimum will work with Flash

Double tap already exists as "fit to window," so your comment didn't even make sense. I can double tap a paragraph or a picture, I can double tap a flash box.

lol, I guess you don't know the complexities of a pointing device
Not saying it's easy, but I was guessing that Flash was more complex. I guess it's possible that Flash was easier than a pointing device. Maybe someone who has worked on both can share his/her thoughts.

I thought he was being sarcastic. (shrug)

Fit to window and fill window aren't the same things. Is the way to get out of a filled Flash window the same as getting out of a fitted picture? What if I have expectations for a picture to fill a window in the same way Flash elements do?

If he was being sarcastic then my point stands. They can implement a cursor and use the trackball to move the cursor. And then the cursor can activate rollover events.
