Yeeeeah, it sounded like Google started a skin cream business with that name. This is going to be the forth messaging app that Google maintains: Google Voice (standalone, Hangouts, Messaging, and now Allo.

Suggested things are a blessing and a curse. The latest Android Google Search app inserts trending search suggestions without a way to turn them off.

To be fair though, Photos was successful despite both Picasa and G+ Photos. They had to depreciate the older versions, so perhaps they'll do the same thing for Hangouts and Messaging.
