Yeah, it was great. Walked into EB to pick up my new PS2, and low and behold.. there's a DS stand, with two of them hooked up, almost back to back. So me and my fiancee played a quick 5 minute game of Metroid Prime Hunters. Here's my impressions:
Controls work surprisingly well.
Game looks suprisingly good (hard to even notice lack of texture filtering/anti-aliasing, etc.).
Game ran super smooth. No lag to be seen.
I killed her with a missile. I apologized.
I also rolled around her in morph ball form for a bit.. she just laughed at me.
We fooled around for a few minutes on the machine, with Pictochat. We couldn't get it to work though.. perhaps the demo machines have a bug in 'em with this? I don't know.. we both entered "Chat Room A" or something like that, but no messages were showing up. Ah well. It was still fun to write messages to myself..
And overall, the system itself felt very sturdy.. high quality. I'm excited for it. Can't wait for release.
