THQ Nordic has dated the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One versions of the Gothic Classic trilogy, which were first announced to be coming to the platforms back in August 2025.

• Gothic Classic will launch on July 28 for $29.99 / €29.99. Users who pre-order Gothic Remake, however, can get Gothic Classicnow as a free bonus at no additional cost.
  • Physical editions will be available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series / Xbox One.
• Gothic II Complete Classicwill launch on September 29 for $29.99 / €29.99.
  • Physical editions will be available for PlayStation 5 (disc) and Xbox Series (disc, but content download required).
• Gothic 3 Classicwill launch on November 24 for $29.99 / €29.99.
  • A Switch 2 version will also be available.
  • Physical editions will be available for PlayStation 5 (disc), Xbox Series (disc, but content download required), and Switch 2 (game-key card).

Gothic Classic and Gothic II Complete Classic are currently available for Switch. Gothic Classic is also planned for release on iOS.

Good, I'm glad to see original Gothic games on consoles and not just the remake. Finally console gamers can enjoy very these fantastic RPGs, very ahead from their time! The sense of progression is one of the best of the genre and the world design is very inmersive even nowadays. You start like an almost defenless nobody, there isn't autolevel or compass of any kind, combat is about "every movement is important and don't try to fight every enemy" and the world doesn't move around you and it won't treat you nicely.

There are some flaws (like the inventory in the first game and the third not being as good as previous ones), but still very unique games and you'll see where Risen and Elex came from. Hell, even I would say CD Projekt took some inspiration from Gothic for The Witcher 3.

I'm sorry, 30€ per game? Are they crazy? 60€ for the entire collection should be the maximum.

Not to mention they're delaying Gothic 1 Classic on purpose to convince more people to pre-order the remake.

-Interesting that Gothic Classic 1 is getting an IOS-port.
-It sucks that there won't be a Switch 1 port of Gothic Classic 3, I have the first two for Switch 1, and would have loved to have the whole trilogy on that system.
-"Xbox Series (disc, but content download required)" - what is that, like a keycard disc?
-I can't wait for Gothic Classic 3, probably my most wanted game of 2026.
