Wow, sweet. I did not expect this to happen. I wonder if it will also lead to a remaster/rerelease on other systems (or if they're left waiting for the remake that may or may not suck shit) with some QOL/control updates on top of the same old base game (and lead to the same for the ace sequel too).

There's the remake coming hopefully soon for PC and current-gen consoles so maybe that has something to do with why this port is Switch only.

Anyway, Gothic 2 was my first ever RPG (I know that the announcement is about the first one) so I'll probably grab this one for my Switch. Most likely a hard copy since I like to support THQ Nordic's positive stance on physical media.

And its much easier to develop for. Less time consuming and cheaper to produce. Plus all developer tools are mature.
