It looks like the actual game case from what I've seen, but it would sure make a lot more sense for it to be a slipcover, considering Gamestop says you need a preorder to get it. They could just throw away the extra slipcovers in that case.

Looking at some of the updated standards has pretty much confirmed that tomorrow will feel like the longest working day of my life. Just happy that I booked Friday off.

Just now wondering when the digital version goes 'Live' to play. If its midnight, I may just try to get some sleep when I finish work before going on a GT6 all night session.

Looks good to me. Really like that they've cleaned up the standard models a lot. Not too concerned about cockpit view as I think of the car as my dude so I like to see it. And I don't have a wheel. If I had a wheel I'd probably only drive in cockpit.

I hope the career progression is more fun than GT5. The last sim racer I really loved was GT2.
Have they fixed up the menus/presentation in this one? I only played GT5 around launch so I don't know if they fixed it. It was slow loading and poorly designed, even after a big patch IIRC.

Any word on the car destruction in GT6? I really hope for some improvement. Crashing at full speed into a wall and not seeing the slightest dent sometimes really is kind of silly. I kind of hope a substantial amount of crashing is going to make the car pretty much break.

The game gets released in Japan in a few hours. I wonder if online will be unlocked then or PD will have the 1.01 patch up for download.

Did that whole rumor about full car damage not unlocking until level 20 thing turn out to be nonsense? I always tried not to crash so I didn't pay much attention even when I got past level 20. I do remember parts coming off the rally cars, and hilarious melt damage for some cars.

It sounds like PD may have dumped Mercedes sound files into GT6 for the their VGT without touching them with filters. From Jordan at GTplanet

It sounds better than any other car I've heard in a Gran Turismo game. The Internet at the hotel is slow here and I have to go to bed early for my flight back home tomorrow, but I'll try go edit and upload my gameplay footage of the car.

He also said that the 1.01 version was what was available at the Ronda event.

I can't believe this level damage mambo jambo is circulating again as it did during GT5 release. There is NO DAMAGE UNLOCKING. whatever you get at the start of the game is what is available. Rally cars however are modeled differently and have more visible damage.

All i see there is paint scrappings?

EDIT: I suppose if i look at it from a different angle it looks like that car is dented...i don't know. But i wouldn't hold my breath for any improvement there until gt7. And even still, it doesn't seem like it's a priority to polyphony.

To add to that it doesn't seem like manufacturers are too fond of having their cars destroyed (in the virtual space) especially in the most popular racing franchise of all time.

Lol, I know but I saw it going around again on another site so I was just making sure not to get sucked in again :D Meant to write "That whole rumor about full car damage not unlocking until level 20 thing turned out to be nonsense right?" What a weird rumor to start in the first place.

Has this ever been backed up by anything? Cars dent and scrape real nice in Forza and 5 added window damage and the ability to knock off your mirrors.

lol. I think people are just hoping for better damage in GT so when someone mentions that it's easy to get the rumor to spread.

I forgot about how bad it was in 5 actually. The camera was too high up and zoomed out I think? And it looked like the world was moving around your car? That could be Forza I'm thinking of... not sure. Crap. Is it the same in this?

That was how it was in 5, and I'm really hoping they've improved it. It's much more dynamic in Forza with the focus being on the car'a movement. Very static in GT5

They should have, I have just tried my Anniversary code on PSN and it does not work yet in Store either. One will probably go up with the another.

BTW I am looking for anyone with spare European (PAL) Precision Pack code. There was no pre-order in my country and I did not get Precision pack.

If anyone have it, thanks enormously in advance,
